you go to go into one of the go gos and just as you pass the doormen they see yo have a camera

in a pouch on your belt

so they stop you and say no camera and say leave camera here

and get when you come out

you say why i am not going to use it

but they repeat it leave camera

so do you leave camera and go in or say goodbye and walk away

after all plenty more go gos to go in

well thats what i did walked away

did i do the right thing

Say goodbye. I'm almost always carrying a camera and have never had a problem. Ever.

I would just leave your camera with the doorman. Should be no issue at all. They do this because there are too many idiots who in and just start shooting photos. They are saving themselves from having to make a problem with someone would have taken photos.

Really? I go into about 6 to 10 go-go's a night until about 4am and have carried a camera in my pocket, around my wrist, in my hand etc and have never had a door man ask me to leave it with him. I wouldn't feel right. I am more worried about forgetting my camera than I am about them making off with it.

same same it was not the fact of leaving it

it was the fact that i would forget to collect it

and i have only been asked the once to leave it

Thats a crock of shit isn't it?Almost every mobile phone has a decent camera built into it these days.And movies too!! You could be pretending to talk on the phone while videoing the girls.Whats next?Take everyones mobiles of them?

Taken my camera into dozens of go-go's, never a problem.

I keep it in a pocket rather than hanging on my belt for all to see.

If possible politely (very politely), I would ask for the mgr. would tell him thank you I understand new policy but going forward I never come back to your go go and will tell my friends. BUT thanks for letting me know.

 

Leave MY phone with some low-life bouncer (here or in the states) - I don't think so. It's stayinh with this low-life.

How about telling us the name of the go go. I don't go into LDS because of their publicly stated policy that anyone accused by their staff of taking pics will have their phone confiscated and possibly microwaved. nice - real nice. all i need is a judge jury and executioner to be an angry thai hooker!

I have had it happen at at couple different gogos If I remember Happy was one of them back in the day> It'sreally no problem they give you a number and you get it back when you leave...would take the memory card out of it first.

A few years back Peppermint was shut down for a month because of some guy working for the police in there was snapping pics with his mobile - that's why they're strictly against the usage now.

Which gogo was this? I don't know of any gogos that ask you to leave your camera at the door.

I guess bars have every right to have a policy such as that. However, I don't have to accept their conditions and I would say no thanks and go elsewhere.
