I emailed for a monthly quote for October, here is part of the reply.

For a Superior double-bed room, city side, no breakfast, the

monthly rate is 36,000 THB

For a Superior double-bed room, pool side (sun rises), no breakfast, the

monthly rate is 39,000 THB

If you stay longer than 30 nights,

we will charge you daily rate based on monthly rate (39,000/30 = 1,300 THB

per night)

Our guest policy, if you stay 1 person, you can have one guest no charge.

So if you have 2 guests, there will be a 500 THB charge for the 2nd guest.

I hope that is of help to someone.

Do u have to pay the sum total up front?

Or u pay a reservation then pay in full on checkout?

Pay up front + 2000 bht security deposit.

Discussed earlier in thread and I have email stating the same.

Some information about the gym equipment:

One bench and some dumbbells (up to 15 KG if i remember correctly ...)

3 Strength Machines you can use to train quadriceps (leg extension), abs, back, chest, shoulders.

No extra charge for using the gym.

Some heavy ass weights there.

One have to keep in mind warm up properly before hitting those 15kg bad boys :D

  • 2 weeks later...

Got an offer 1500THB/night for superior room with pool view and breakfast. They also confirmed no joiner fee for one guest and 500THB for the second. You need to make a payment for the whole stay when checking in + 2000THB deposit which you'll get back when checking out.

This is a terrific hotel. I got the grand tour from Paul and was all set to stay there until I was offered the Dusit D2 for 2000 baht a night. The staff at August Suites could not have been friendlier.

August Suites is indeed a great place to stay, but sometimes they are too friendly. For example when you leave the hotel in the afternoon, they say "Hello sir, how are you today sir...", I say "Thanks I'm fine, how are you?", "Thanks for asking, fine. Where are you going sir?". "Not sure now, either Soi 6 for having sex with two girls or just to Lolitas in Soi Metro for a blow job and after that I will have breakfast". Okay just kidding, I didn't tell them the last sentence but that was exactly an example for what I was looking for in the afternoons, so I had to say something different to keep being polite to them like "Oh I will have something to eat and later go shopping" or something else boring.

luvyoulongtime, I agree with you, but anyway, after staying there for a couple of days, their friendliness was kind of overacting to me, I don't want to call it phony, but just slightly too much.

It was a walk-in rate when I told them I would stay a week. It was an afterthought but I just happened to walk past and thought I would ask expecting at least 3k. Apparently it was to help their end of month special. If I had started a day later they were quoting 2500 which is still a good deal.

Re August Suites...I've now emailed them twice and no reply (maybe 2 days is expecting a lot !). For those who have managed a response from them - are they usually this slow in answering ?

Hi very near to August Suites is citin loft ,havnt actually been but planning to in a few weeks .Reading another thread they mention for the month you pay 27000 baht for a 42sq room which looks a top bargain all inclusive,so no extra charges to pay

But when comparing with August Suites please note that the pool of Citin Loft seems to be inside the building in the basement, so no sun at all:
