I understand that bringing medication, even that which I have a prescription for, into LOS is illegal. Is this accurate information? If that is the case can someone give me information if Metformin and Levemir Insulin Flexpens are available?

If you have a copy of a prescription to show them, or better still a doctors letter stating what meds you are on they should be OK with that

In fact i dont think i have heard any stories about people getting pulled and dealt with for prescribed meds.

The only thing you cant buy over the counter in a pharmacy (apart from the usual heavy shit) as far as i know is anything codiene based painkillers, like Co-Codamol etc.

The best place to go is Fascimo ..... a large pharmacy on Pattaya Nua. I ram out of an anti tryglyceride pill while out there once, and, after going to quite a few pharmacies with the empty box, and getting blank stares off them i was taken to this one on Pattaya Nua. Two minutes on the computer and she came back with the meds i needed

Type 1 is when the body is not producing insulin at all so they require insulin shots.

Type 2 is when the insulin is produced but it maybe in lower quantities or the body maybe resistant to insulin.

I have to take the pills and slow reacting insulin to help keep my blood sugar stable.

Ah, My cousin has Type 1, but he does really well. I was just curious, however, I do not know Thai Law in regards to certain medications, but Milo isn't one to give false info.

I'm Type 2 diabetic.

I inject insulin, and obviously take it with me, and tablets.

Don't unpack the tablets/Insulin etc. Leave in Chemists dispense pack with your name on it.

The airline may want you to surrender it for the durastion of the flight.

I always take a Docters Letter and all relevant documentation relating to my condition.

No probs!!
