Help Please!

I shot some video with a Sony Cam on my trip and when I came back and downloaded to the computer it was in MPG format. I need AVI to download and edit on Windows Movie Maker. I had a friend download some software to convert it but I still can't get it changed over. Can somebody give me some info on a simple way to do this. If you reply remember you are responding to a computer illiterate! LOL

 

The Sony cam is one with the 31/2 in" disk.

However...

For next time and when you want fast, more informative answers, just google it.... Thats what google is there for....

 

In this case.... you would type into google... "Convert MPG to AVI"

You should get your answer in a second.....

 

It has nothing to do with computer illiteracy... if you can read, then you will find that most software have a help button... 98% of people with problems, fail to notice that button.... I rebuild systems, design websites etc... and I still need to use the little "help" button at times...

 

The other 1.9 % of the time... google has the answers...
