Dawin Hotel Bangkok

Featured Replies

Just back from an unexpected 3 night stay in BKK.  I booked the Dawin hotel on Soi Nana just past the Soi 6 cut through from the airport after a flight fuck up.

Hadn’t been there but liked the area. It was surprising.  2000bt per night so not cheap for the location.  It is modern.  Reception is easy.  They had a great restaurant and bar at the front which we did relax in over our last lunch prior to departure and after check out.  Everything worked, good bathroom.  Absolutely nothing to complain about. Well worth a look if you’re looking for a little oasis in the madness.

2000/night is not bad for a convenient, clean hotel with good amendities

Stayed there myself recently and found it to be as you described and will stay there again.

Stayed her for 3 nights some years ago as I had Agoda points to use for about 1000 Baht/night,

but I didn´t like the anticeptic smell that permeated the entire hotel from reception to my room!

Room aircon also felt humid and bed linens somewhat wet!?

Also no balcony and view was towards a concrete building next door.

Staff was very friendly though and room had the basic amenities, but nothing special.

Didn’t notice the antiseptic.  Yes no balconies.
my linens were fine.
Bed was good if a little firm.

My goto hotel in that area, usually get it for around 1600 baht but I guess you were last second.com. Always a consistent stay, handy shortcut towards Nana bts as well teh usual entertainment area. Sounds like you had a nice little bonus to your trip. In your's and Sai's absence, managed to get a podium spot at Hollywood killer pool last night :)

Just went on booking.com, they want a whopping 15.480 baht for 3 nights in early January.

Even the Ibis just up the road that normally charges 4500-5000 for 3 nights want just shy of 8000.

Was it recently renovated?  Room looks fairly modern.

@Stokieladinformed me it was redone in 2021 but to me it looked like it may have been done more recently as well.

The room looks clean and a good size. 2000 baht is a bargain!

Here are my photos of my room in Dawin Hotel back in 2014, for comparison!

Well they either renovated it in its same image or that’s the most well preserved hotel in Bangkok.

They might have just repainted it in the same colors?

Another nice feature of this hotel is the small swimmingpool! 😉

2,000 baht for a modern room on Nana is solid value for that area. Worth bookmarking if you get stuck in Bangkok between connections, which happens more than it should with Suvarnabhumi delays in rainy season.

Plus you can get a nice view on the Why not ladyboy bar the other side of the street !

Seriously, this hotel was my choice last time and I'm going there again. Fun fact, I had a misadventure there. I'd got a TF girl, got out of my room to go get her, and when we went back to the room... unable to open the door. The battery in the door opening system chose that very moment to die. They were quick to repair it.

Next flight, November 29th, 2026...

I stayed there for 4 nights last week. Decent place for the money. Pretty quiet too considering the location. Now the construction on Soi 6 is complete including a footpath on one side it's really quick to get to Nana Station without having to fight your way through the madness at the top endbof Soi 4 or going via Soi 8.
