Motorcycle Racing On Hwy 331 Kills Four

Featured Replies

On Monday a group of 40+ motorcycles racing on Hwy 331 caused a chain reaction collision that killed four. I'm surprised this didn't make the news. The reason I know about it is one of the idiots hit the back of my friend's car. You can see the collision happen in the video below. My friend was driving at the speed limit in the left most lane when the idiot just rode straight into the back of his car. Farther up the road was where most of mayhem happened.

Just insane how this road racing shit happens on an almost daily basis here.

I wasn't in the car. Nobody in the car was hurt, but they have to deal with seeing the bodies on the road.

Most Thai`s are clueless as to having any road sense.....I am Thai and I want to die

yeah those bike racers are special.

a Thai friend has a friend who volunteers on ambulances ("body snatchers." )

he was told by a boy racer that should it come to that, it's *his* job to clean boy racer off the road. they really don't give a shit if they die.

No safety gear except helmet and gloves. Even if they live it will be painful and likely crippling.

Every hole a goal.

Condoms kill boners. Save the boners.

It isn't just a Thai thing. Most summer weekends the roads of Mid Wales creates yet another widow 😞

The main difference in the UK is that it seems that it is middle-aged men that are trying to push their riding skills to the limit. Then there is the "Bike Life UK" culture (stunt riding on roads).

Had a friend who's wife was an Emergency Room nurse.  They call motorcycle riders.... organ donors.

It’s honestly terrifying how common this is. When I was over there in late April, I saw groups of these young guys on modified scooters weaving through traffic on Sukhumvit like they were completely invincible. Zero gear, just shorts and t-shirts.

Highway 331 is notorious for this kind of racing, especially late at night or on weekends. Glad to hear your friend wasn't physically hurt, but dealing with the aftermath and seeing that on the road must be traumatizing.
