I'm currently looking at hotels for September and these 3 seem like good options for me. My budget is ~30€ a night. Any other recommendations u guys got or are these good enough?

Have only stayed at P Plus of the three you list. The Vogue is very similar in price, location and amenities to P Plus.

Stayed at the Vogue some years back, it needed a lot of work done post covid shut down.

If your a Soi6 guy. The March.

Nova Gold. not on a Baht bus route, but not much of a walk.

P Plus. Gym is supposed to be great. If LK Metro is your go to then this is the closest. Rooms are too small for me.

work out what your priorities are. Pool, Gym, Transport, location to the area you think you'll visit the most and choose from that.

I've stayed at the April Suites are couple of times which suited me.

either way have fun and enjoy your trip

a pool is pretty important to me but I will walk a lot so transportation isn't the biggest issue for me but i would really enjoy a balcony

Balcony. March or Nova Gold are better than P Plus.

Pool. March hotel and P Plus are the better. Nova Gold I believe their pool is under cover I believe.

suggestion. Look at 3 hotels on Agoda, Booking .com and look through the photos  of the properties.

Others may have other thoguhts. Also use the search function the see if there a mentions of the hotels in members trip reports to help make up your mind

I always stay at Nova Gold as I like the location, it is away from busy traffic ..

Easy walk to Soi Buakhao .. arriving at Witherspoons end in 10 minutes via Pattaya Clang

The pool is undercover and is cool (cold) but you are free to use the rooftop pool at Nova Suites which is 100m away.

Its a clean quiet hotel and is usually 1000 baht per night .some rooms have balcony, some don't I don't smoke so this doesn't bother me which  room type I get allocated.

P Plus is the most central.

March is nice big rooms but its up a side alley a it out of the action.  Good pool.  August Suites it's sister hotel is a better location.

247 Boutique I stay

Amethyst looks hot

Just book anyone for 3 nights and once here go look at the others and compare, then either change hotel or stay where you are, easy peasy.

I don't really wanna do that because I like being certain I have a confirmed place but that might be an unnecessary fear

is that easy to do or is it a bit of a hassle to use it?

No hassle at all , go to Nova reception , pick up a towel , walk to Nova Suites with your towel and straight to the lifts on the right past Nova suites reception..

I've done it many times with no hassle..

They have a nice gym there as well next to the rooftop pool.

The hotels have the same owners so , providing you have a Nova Gold towel you will be OK

I would do this for a first visit as it is low season and you can always extend your reservation if you like it..

There are many other nice hotels nearby.

I usually book  for one week in case standards have dropped since the previous year

do u just look for cheaper better rooms or something in particular? I'm just scared of not finding anything and my original hotel being full but that might just be my paranoia

I'm not sure I'd worry about confirmed place for the hole trip there are thousands of hotels guest houses in Pattaya, what I'd be more concerned about is booking 1 or 2 weeks in a hotel only to find out after a day or two it's not what I like, any new hotel I try it's 3-5 day max booking

I only change hotels if I'm not happy with the hotel..it could be aircon Issues , noisy guests , bad wifi .. anything like this would prompt a move..

I have been coming to Pattaya for many years now.. I have changed hotels mid holiday only once ..This was due to really poor aircon and the pool being closed midway through my holiday..

As others have said , it is low season and most hotels will have availability at short notice.

You could initially book a few days then , if you like it, book the remainder straight away ..this may solve your paranoia :-)

I stayed at March hotel, I liked it. Room was nice. It is in a quiet area, a bit of a walk to the action but I am a light sleeper so preferred the silence.

I put my parents up at the Nova Gold at Christmas and they loved it, especially the location because it was nice and quiet.

They stayed in the deluxe corner room and the only thing that I could fault was there seemed to be no central light as in it was all mood lighting.

They stayed 20 days and it was comfortable for that length of stay and my Dad pretty much lived on the balcony.

It's out of the way but is easy walking distance to central and the beach and as someone else mentioned, we used Witherspoon's as the meeting point as I live on Soi 15.

I have to say, the mention of this place brings back all the great memories of Christmas, wish I could do it all again.

Should i just talk to the reception staff or book it online after deciding that I like it? Also do hotels let u see the room before deciding to book it or how does that work?

You have to book a minimum one night online before you travel for the TDAC immigration waiver..

When you get there, if you like it then book the remainder of your holiday.

If it isn't for you then check out nearby options like March , KTK or Nova Park, or Centara,

Maybe check out other rooms in nova gold before you decide as other rooms may suit you better..

The best prices will be online via booking.com or Agoda or trivago..

I hope this helps

As somebody who has stayed in around 100 hotels in Pattaya over the years, you won’t be surprised to hear that I’ve stayed in all three of the hotels mentioned in this thread. I really like both the Nova Gold and March hotels…TBH, I would find it very hard to separate them. They are actually physically quite close to each other, though the distance between them is bigger because there is no through route between these hotels

The rooms in both the Nova and March are excellent. They both provide top value for money. The pool and the gym in the Nova are only OK… but the rooms are very good. They haven’t been updated for a full refurbishment for about 10 years, but they look almost brand new because of the hotel keeps on top of any small or minor repairs. Be warned the manager takes any damage or losses seriously and will charge you for it. The upside of this is that the hotel is really spotless. It also hasn’t gone up in price. I can remember paying ฿1000 a night 14 years ago…today it’s about the same price. I last stayed there about 18 months ago and enjoyed it. As @Mrbiggles says, the corner rooms are superb, when I was there for a three months stay I had the top floor corner room - awesome.

IMG_2311.thumb.jpeg.e27120a29e0c6c6a4deee356220de096.jpeg

I’ve only stayed once at the March, and I thought the rooms were decent, but I didn’t like the little alleyway you had to navigate off Klang or second road…I still however, really rate this hotel in terms of value for money.

Regarding P Plus, I stayed there around five years ago, not long after it opened…cheap as chips, but I didn’t think that much of the quality of the rooms, and at that time there were lots of Chinese tourists there and tour buses revving up outside (this might be very different now given the large drop off in number of Chinese visitors to Thailand). What I will say is that the P Plus has by far the best gym of any hotel that I’ve seen in Thailand…awesome.

Just a few thoughts on these hotels…personally I have over the last few years began to stay almost exclusively in 4 hotels so my knowledge might be a bit out of date. Hope the above helps.
