Gents,

Will be in Nonthaburi for some business for a week and have booked a week afterwards in Pattaya.

I usually use Nam's lady drivers but unfortunately Nonthaburi is understandably a bit far out for her team.

What are my options to travel from Nonathaburi to Pattaya?

Call Mr.T and agree on a price. He takes me all over the place.

I bet a driver would rather drive the motorway to Nonthaburi than inch their way to Asok.

It's only 20 km from downtown Bangkok.

Or take the orange, red or yellow Chao Phraya boat from there to the end of the line and meet a driver there. I've been to Nonthaburi on the non-tourist boat. It docks near the "Bangkok Hilton".

I’ve used Meow Taxi from Nonthaburi to Pattaya in the past.

I can't understand how Nam is so picky they won't stay on the same motorway to a less congested town for a pickup.

Wild guess its because there are  no pickups there - that means a driver needs to go all the way there and back to BKK to pick up their next customer.

I'm not sure I want a taxi service that only does return trips to Pattaya because now you depend on them having a trip at least to the airport at the same time before you need them and the Nonthaburi thing only adds 20 km each way on a motorway so hardly a huge request. Just figure out the 40 km round trip from the city and charge accordingly.

I guess one option if someone insists on this taxi firm is to take Bolt or Grab to Bangkok airport, and have the Pattaya taxi come there instead of where they are.

When dropped off at the airport you could then jump on the next bus heading to Pattaya.

I don't take buses not taxi services who don't act reasonably. I am sure my taxi service would rather go to or from Nonthaburi than the center of Sukhumvit road unless it was 4 am.

Just because they’re not willing to go outside their normal operating parameters does not mean they are being unreasonable.

Name seems to do quite well without having to cater to customers who have the illusion that they’re special.
