I intend this to be a log of encounters, recollections, and the occasional editorial on the hobby. It won't be a traditional trip report. My first tier is Medellin and Jakarta. There are a couple things that make bkk/pats 2nd tier (in my view) that I may try to put into words one day.

I've been to both but honestly don't see how Jakarta would be top tier. Not easy to get high quality girls compared to Bangkok and more expensive. I'm not the expert admittedly but on the few trips I've made there (all work related) I tried the mongering scene and to me didn't hold a candle to Bangkok.

Yep, it all depends on how you value different factors. I will say that in Jakarta, gogo level girls are available for 1000b if you take your time and search. I wouldn't recommend Jakarta for one weekend. If you haven't been there before, I would stay in the mangga besar area for proximity to brothels or blok m for more traveler/expat community.
