Here's a new one: Best Bathrooms under 800b

I'm heading back to Pattaya for a short week 3 weeks from now, my usual camping grounds is the Ibis up on Soi 1.

Yep, the rooms are small.

Yep, you have to pay for wifi and breakfast.

Yep, the price is a little high (1000b)

So why bother?

Spotlessly clean bathrooms, with a separate shower area. Great air conditioning that's temperature controlled, not low-med-hi. Clean, fresh sheets and new western-style beds, and lastly a nice sunny pool and great lounging space.

Sounds great, eh? What am I whining about?

Well, I should try perhaps I should try someplace else, a little closer to WS and perhaps with a less-bright walk-of-shame (I swear, I think you can see the Ibis lobby from the ISS).

I've been digging through the archives here and many photos and reviews really don't cover the quality of bathroom or beds. Can anyone recommend a hotel closer to WS whose features might be on par with the Ibis, but have wifi and a proper bathroom. Stupid as it may sound, I really hate the combined toilet/shower crap - annoying.

And it should be cheaper - I am from Holland ;) (But I'm probably more Scottish at heart...)

You should try Ring Guesthouse -close to Walking Street and 200 meter from the beach www.ringguesthouse.com :)

Much appreciation for pms and the suggestion of guest houses. I realize my request was quite lame - while I'd like to be cheap, I'm really looking for something with exceptional suite facilities: decent space, preferably a 2-person bath or a jacuzzi, wifi - I'm probably double what I was looking at.

thanks for the reality check all.

I'm also planning to stay in IBIS during my stay. But my question is there a JOINER FEE there? they have safe in the room?

No joiner fees, at least for 1 girl (never brought more than one back - I'm probably boring) and yes, a 4-digit electronic safe tucked in the closet, big enough for a netbook and your wallet and stuff.

Liquid Lounge would have to be somewhere in the top 5 for sure. Phupaya Resort was 850 on my last stay, but would have made it into the top 5 as well.
