Final Check - PBR or Pasedena Lodge

Hey Guys

After lots of reading I have narrowed my choice down to either the PBR or Pasadena Lodge.

I'm swaying toward the Pasadena Lodge, rooms are slightly larger for the price (Pasadena Deluxe = 44 sq/m B1500 vs. PBR Deluxe = 42 sq/m B1999). I don't see myself taking that much advantage of the PBR pool, so no great benefit there.

Final confirmation from BMs please, both still GF with no joiner charges? I'll book in the next couple of days for 10 days end November.

Cheers

i've stayed in both. Pasadena had friendlier staff at front, including night security guard. don't know about deluxe rooms tho, i stayed in regular size and they were smaller than pattaya bay. i liked location of Pasadena better, near Soi bukaho, Chaiyapoon. GF friendly.

I would opt for Pasdena.

If the pool is not a selling point for you then i would go with the Pasadena, great surrounding bars, nicer styled rooms, Lolitas BJ bar on your doorstep as is The Devils Den (Old Hell Club) and of course as you have quoted 499Bt per night cheaper. Ann on the front desk at Pasadenas a sweetie, lovely lady.

If the pool is of no interest to you then Pasadena Lodge would get my vote, Just got back from a 5 day stay there and they seems to have improve their customer service.

Does Pasadena Lodge have free Wi Fi like PBR? Also, does it have an elevator, or do you have to walk up steps?

I have not had the pleasure of staying at the PBR, but the room you mention at the Pasadena Lodge is great, its huge and the location of the hotel is perfect.

i am planning on being in Pattaya the 3rd week of July.

I have not decided where I will be staying.

Can anyone tell me (I know that it is slow season now), if you can negotiate price with Pasedena (i.e. maybe offer to pay 1 week in advance for a reduction in price)?

I have NEVER done that before, but I am curious.

I just looked at the PBR standard room after visiting the hotel. It seems very small and there is no carpeting in the room. I will visit Pasadena before I leave to see what heri rooms are like.

Just booked for Sep/Oct and now need a base in the LK Metro area so Pasadena is an option. The website states a safety deposit box. Does this mean there are no in room safes? :GoldenSmile1:

GR.

Currently at home until after the Wet Season. See you again in Sept.

Update - couldn't wait until Sept, booked for early July.

Hope you enjoy your stay at the Pasadena GeeMan and let us know what it was like. I have just rebooked at PBR in the deluxe room, stayed there last year for a month on their monthly deal and enjoyed the stay.

I have now visited both Pasadena and PBR. IMHO Pasadena is much better. Their superior room for 1000 is much better than the PBR's standard room at the same price. Also, the bathroom in Pasadena's deluxe is far better than the one in PBR's deluxe. The PBR deluxe room did not have a separate shower entrance or even a shower curtain. The shower is right next to the toilet, the way many Thai apartments are structured. Moreover, the Pasadena deluxe is 1200 vs. 1600 for PBR.

I stayed in the deluxe room from Pasadana from May 15 till May 31st for 1200 a night. Absolutely recommendable, nice big room, very friendly staff. Definately will stay there again.

Sweeeeet! Sounds like a home run for Pasadena.

This will be my first trip to Pattaya, and I'm pretty pumped looking forward to it. I've been to BKK about 8 times over the last several years, so are pretty familiar with NEP and Cowboy, but Pattaya sounds like an entirely different scene.

I'm also bringing a new wingman with me, he's never been to SEA before and is a complete P4P newbie, so I am looking forward to broadening his horizons !

I'll keep an eye on the board, and hopefully we can make one of the weekly crawls

Cheers

GeeMan..... If you do stay at the Pasedena Lodge hotel, make sure you meet the French Owner and get a card and a free drink at Papagoyo's (sic) Coyote Bar ... which is at the corner of Soi Diana and 2nd road. It is only a 4 or 5 minute walkl fronm the hotel.

The French guy owns this bar also.

Guys

Reading all the horror stories about guys getting ripped of by BG guests bought back to your room got me thinking, do the Pasadena Lodge rooms have safes? The web site mentions 'Safety deposit box' under facilities. Some of the BMs that kindly replied above have stayed, so should be able to answer.

Cheers

Why mess with either one? 30 yards away from Pasadena is Metro Apartments, Their big room is 950 a night. Dennis is a great host and looks after his guest well. I stayed there once myself plus I have never heard any BM have a single bad thing to say about Metro. As for myself I like to switch it up a bit so I am thinking my next trip I might book at Summer Spring but Metro is always a great option.

Metro is quite often booked up. Also, it is my understanding that there is no elevator in the Metro.

    • For those that don't know, I did Friday meetings before many years ago,  I feel like we are missing a regular meeting for members,  I am aware guys meet at PA affiliated bars. But I want to start meeting people again, I'm inviting the guys following my YouTube also.

The meetings is a chance to get to meet each other,  I plan to be at every meeting, I also have Dean from Dive bar that has offered to help out with a crawl after.
The meetings will be  Monday  6 pm - 8 pm each week.  (The improvised bar crawl will commence at 8 p.m.  Dean will make his own plans for that.)

Due to low numbers of people in town, I will start the meetings in our bars to help our girls and managers, please check back often incase things are changed.  I will be sharing the love around town later, but Soi 6 is first on my list (including bars that are friendly competition)
If bar owners want us to have a meeting at their bar,  they need to have a minimum of 10 girls.  I'm not dragging people to empty bars for favours.
Please help us invite other members, it takes a while to get momentum.
Monday 6 pm - 8pm  (then bar crawl after)
      21st March - Playpen Soi 6
28th March - Night wish bar Soi 6
4th April - Toy Box bar Soi 6
      11th April - Repent Soi 6
18th April - where angels play Soi 6
25th April -  (next bar we have open)

2nd May - (next bar we have open)
      9th May - Cooters bar soi 6
16th May - Hot shots bar Soi 6
23rd May - (next bar we have open)
      30th of May - Lust soi 6
      6th of June - Illuzion
13th of June - (next bar we have open)

I look forward to meeting people again.
