Told my L/T girl to get tested before I come. Anyone else do that ?

If she works gogo she should be getting tested at least once a month.

I went with a previous LT once to get it done for her bar (obviously i had to pay the bill...)

Think it cost about 200B.

They have a quick look in a doctors type room then take a blood sample.

Takes under 20 mins.

I seriously doubt it covers everything, but for going down on her its probably pretty good.

 

She should have got some sort of paperwork. But unless you can speak thai she may as well be waiving the menu from the local takeaway in your face.

Maybe best to go in with her.

Both get done together. That way you know for sure.

Be prepared posting about that one here...I did a similar topic and received a message board beatdown for "Getting a rental car checked out at the garage prior to renting" ... whatever.

 

I think its a good idea...of course, guys will get on here and preach about the 90 day incubation period and all that. If it makes you feel better getting tested, by all means do it. Go together, get results together...fun little medical bonding moment.

Always a good idea to get checked out, very cheap to do and only takes anhour or so. Even better goto one of the bigger hospitals and get a full blood workup. Make you feel much better to know evreything is clear.

Remember the 30 to 90 day period begins when there is no other sexual contact (this might or might not be the case).

 

I would suggest Pattaya Int'l or Bangkok-Pattaya...for a few bucks more you have a hospital doing the tests and you are out the door in about 1 hour.

 

Ask about HIV test by PCR test. It can show exposure at 28 days. Do not take my word for it, look it up on the internet or ask

you doctor. At Bangkok-Pattaya they do it, and it takes 3 days to get the results back. You and your girls can stare in each others eyes (or other less than full sexual things) until the results come back...if all is good, wrap it up and have fun!

Just said, today we go doctor, check everything.

First she resisted, but when she realized that I was to be checked to, she was ok.

Better for us I told her, no worry about condom!

When the test came, she more ore less went up and down at the doctor:

So It's good, they don't trus us, and we for sure don't trust them!

I've read on a couple of forums that people know others (farangs) who have caught HIV in Thailand and are carrying on barebacking so you can see why Thai girls would want the guy to get tested too. Why not?

 

Unfortunately it means very little as can take months to show up and if someone is recently infected they can be up to 100 times more infectious than if they have been infected for a year or 2.

The straight regular test cost about 700 bht @ the local hospital(500 bht in the clinics). It takes up to 1 hour, some times 30 minutes. If you get a chance and go, just look in the lobby of Bangkok-Pattaya, it looks like the best western hospital you could find. They also have the full dedicated labs for testing.

 

Because PCR is an advanced test, Bumrungrad and Bangkok Hospital in the city BKK offer it. You would have to contact the Bangkok hospital in Pattaya to see if they offer it too ( I would think so since they are all part of the Bangkok Hospial chain) But it takes 3 days to get the results (just like in my home in the USA for this test). It could even be less than Bangkok which is 3000 bht...a small investment for one's health.

 

I would bring a stunner in there and then sit on her (almost literally) for 3 days...and then glove up and have fun...if you could clear her, and yourself, up to a 28 day window...your both looking good.

Testing for herpes is useless. You cannot test for it and prove you don't have it, because we ALL have one form of herpes or another, so a herpes test will always come out positive. Ever had a cold sore? Likely it was a form of herpes.

 

In order to test for the STD type of herpes, the sores have to be out and oozing to take a sample.

 

All the money spent trying to find a cure for herpes and they are no closer than they were a hundred years ago.

IgG tests are more or less useless. (standard test, looks for antibodies)

IgM tests are more accurate and can be taken even without an outbreak as it looks for the antibodies of the virus.

PCR tests are the most accurate as it will look for the virus itself, but it must be taken during an outbreak in order to be most accurate.

 

IgM Western Blot test costs about 150$ in the states, should be taken as early as possible then 3 months after for the best accuracy.

 

I wanted a full-blown checkup package and paid 2,000 Baht for PCR test at Bangkok Pattaya Hospital and about 1,000 Baht for the rest (HIV/Gonorrhea/Chlamydia/Syphilis/Hep etc.)

I recently emailed Pattaya-Bangkok Hosptial (getting ready for my holiday there). They quoted me about 4200 bht for the PCR test. I'm

familiar with it by research. It appears most reputable authorities agree it is the most accurate, and yes it can take up to 2 or 3 days

(PKK-BKK Hospital said 2 days). So much for a internet quote, I guess it like other things in Thailand, their internet prices are higher than

normal. Good hospital though and thanks for sharing your experience and information....

With the normal test , same one they use in the uK clinics/hospitals they tested me at 30 days, 6 weeks then 90 days. All came out negative. The head doctor there told me that about 75% of people with HIV will test positive within the first 30 days, about 95% will test positive within 6 weeks then the other 5% within the next 6 weeks. So if at 6 weeks you test clean, still looking pretty good, stats wise.

I think the girl have the same right to ask you for a test as you ask her... Only because you not a work as bargirl not mean you can't have HIV. And all the girls who have HIV, they became it mostly from men.

 

I guess it is better to have a paper who shows you that your partner doesn't have HIV... But it still not give you 100% security... but much better than nothing.
