Opinion on Discovery Beach Hotel?

Planning a trip to Pattatya during late September and considering booking at Discovery Beach hotel. Is it guest-friendly and does it charge you for guests per night? I saw one review where it does

My daughter and son-in-law stayed there for a week when they came to visit me they were very very happy with it this was a year ago or so but they were very impressed

Was also thinking about staying here. Maybe if you book the room with two guest and come solo = no joiner fee? That was my plan.
