My Day Out at Flora Ville GC BKK

Played here on a Tuesday in October 2025

2600 Green Fee Caddy and Cart paid. As a Foreigner and walking in on the day unsure how that compares but I thought the place was great value at that price

Woke up at 0700 and headed off from my hotel in Bangkok at 0730. I didn't have a booking today as my booking at Apline had fallen through due to issues with Booking Agent. So I was planning on just walking up somewhere and getting a game

Initially tried at Thai Army course but had no luck there as I think the BKK traffic left me arriving between the Morning and Afternoon slots

Ended up out at Flora Ville and was able to get on as a walk i

Head out on the course and tee off around 0940 and am around in 3 hours

Should have been quicker but stuck behind a Thai four-ball for the last five holes who refused to let me through

Today I posted a 90 and felt a little frustrated with things. I didn't really get going but felt I should have done better with the form I had been in

Started on the 1st and Front 9 had a 45

Started off poorly with a triple bogey 7 and some bogeys on this nine and only 2 pars. Disregard the Par on the 8th on my Garmin App. The hole says Par 5 but it is a Par 4 these days

Back 9 I had a 45

1 Par and 1 Double but a bogeyathon. Always seemed to be struggling around here never close to par but never close to big scores either

The Highlight

5th hole. 5 Wood off the tee and a 6 Iron. Looked good off the club but left a long putt. Was able to 2 putt for a par. Lot if water on hole but well played

The 1st

Teed off well and found myself middle of fairway in good position. 5 Wood pulled left of the green. Played a shot over a bunker to a tight pin placement. Got it about 99% perfect and it got over the bunker and instead of bouncing on and trickling down to the hole it bounced backwards and into the bunker. Was so close to being perfect but got screwed. Next shot I had a really tight near sided bunker shot. I got out and it once again bounced back in like the last shot. Got out and two putted for a triple bogey 7. Disappointing

As for my game today

Tee Shots 6

Some good some bad. Tough around here as lots of water on every hole so it was a tough course to negotiate

Fairway Woods 6

Hit a lot today as I seemed to always have to be cautious off the tee due to the amount of water. Did to really have my best day with them

Irons 7

Striking well but felt I didn't hit enough today. I seemed to be forever hitting 5 Wood and 7 Wood range all day

Wedges 5

Shanked one today. Was in great position on a Par 5 and proceeded to shank it . Went right straight at a water hazard. Hit a cart path and bounced over it. Lucky as fuck to not lose the ball. Honking shot though 555. Rest were ok

Chipping 6

Didn't do a lot as I found myself putting from off the green a lot today

29 putts for the round.

0 X three putt holes

Didn't make many but putted from fringe a lot today to keep the putt tally artificially lower

Bunkers 6

3 Greenside

Took two to get out on the first but out first time after this

Lost Ball tally came in at 2 today

1x 16th hole After a piss poor tee shot left me no hope of reaching the green in 2 I pulled my approach left. My fault I didn't even look to note the water was there. Wasn't until after I got caddy goes 50/50 water and it didn't come out in my favour

1 X 18th Tee shot into Water Hazard right. Waited way too long for group in front. Came off the toe into hazard right.

Course and is great track at an exceptional price. Not easy and has a lot of water.

Everywhere I looked work had been recently done on something and there was a lot of GUR as the club was really working hard to tidy up all the negatives on the course.

You will see from some of the photos I took where they were fixing the 1% things. Also whilst I was playing they had lot of guys working on something in the course. They ain't stinging on labour costs around here.

Clubhouse looks new and has great facilities

It is from Sukhumvit area approx 45 mins and you could probably reach it from Pattaya in 2 hour 45 mins as it is on the Western Side of BKK near Nonthaburi
