Accomodation suggestion

Recommended Posts

Arriving late at 10pm and departure next day morning ( 7h50 or 10h50) no flight confirmation yet.

Any recommendation except Novotel too expensive.

I've done my homework even checking google maps but is very confusing.

Which is the nearest resort/hotel to the airport? Convenient Resort, Thong Ta Resort or Ivory hotel?

Is there anything nearby by these hotels (read in another forum that the second has restaurants and bars nearby)?

Thanks in advance

It is about 15 mins I'd say. No big deal, as it is mostly all motorway (no tolls) and traffic is not an issue since it is not into downtown. I just always like the Accor brand of hotels (Novotel, Mecure, Ibis).

Convenient - think I paid 800B through Latestays.com last fall. Very basic room, but clean and tolerable for one night. On-demand hot water heater, but no shower stall. Indifferent staff. No obvious p2p action. They have an airport shuttle van, but the room rate is only inclusive of one way...you'll pay about 100B for the return. Open air restaurant/bar next to the car park...both Western and Thai food...again pretty basic...200-300 B for dinner and a beer. The hotel is aptly named... it is convenient to the airport but else nothing to write home about. Think Motel-6 or Super-8.

Not so far from BKK airport, Ibis Ramkamhaeng is a good choice. It is around 1,000B consistently.

Now called

Ibis Huamark

has been changed to

All Seasons Bangkok

(7 Soi Ramkamhaeng 15, Ramkamhaeng Road, Huamark, Bangkok)
