Hi all,

I know the above place is guest friendly but would you know if they accept guests between 18 and 20 ?

I had some difficulty in the past at the Amethyst where one of my guest did not want to go and she said it was because she was 19.

I did not check her ID as I always ask the hotel to keep it and maybe I dodged a bigger bullet there but just curious.

Still waiting for a reply on this thread from someone who has stayed here in the last 8/10 months …. Is it equally guest friendly as it used to be before with no restrictions on age and number of girls you take in the room at the same time ? Or has it changed since the change of management

Why don’t you ask the hotel … you’ll get a definitive answer.

Because he wants an answer from someone with experience rather than a hotel staff who may say anything.

I visited a couple of hotels last month, including Baraquda, looking at options for my next trip. When I asked they said 18 plus but as you say may be more valuable to get the experience of someone who has actually stayed there recently and see what happens in reality.

What I do know is the Baraquda has a back entrance with an elevator at the side of the hotel… you can bypass the front desk entirely.  I believe this entrance closes at midnight.

Stayed at this hotel in December. Had company visiting me in day time and evening. I was able to take them to the room without stopping at the desk when I wanted. No one ever stopped me.

I stayed here in April. The only time they took ID was when the lady went up to reception to do it herself. They didn't care when guests walked passed reception with me. As above there is another elevator towards the rear of the property so you can just go via that way if you are concerned.

If you feel safer getting the ID checked, they will get you to sign a form as well when you check a guest in.

I asked a guard at the rear gate and he said 24/7. But maybe a language barrier.

I asked him as the gate had been closed, but you just needed to slide it.

I stayed here in Februari and 18 and 19 year olds are allowed. Reception took their ID and they were allowed to go to the room with me. So you're good. 👍
