@JayTX34 Excellent info on Bali. I actually was in Kuta for a week in March of this year and had at least few massages in the area but did not run into extra places you've mentioned here. Were these massage places in particular area of Kuta? I will have to keep my eye out for them.

Yes but keep your expectations in check. Bali is completely different to Bangkok and Pattaya, can't speak for other parts of Thailand. Lots of tourist attractions if you are willing to go away from the main crowded areas. Nearly all Balinese are initially really nice but for some it's just a facade to scam you for as much money as possible. So always be aware of that. 

Bali can be great or horrible depending on how you view things. It's messy, chaotic and polluted but also calm ,relaxing and scenic. You can eat and drink for as little or as much as you like. Having a vacation over there is so different to life in the West and that's some people love it and other hate it. 

Two people on vastly different budgets could enjoy Bali for polar opposite reasons and both would be telling you the truth. 

Indonesia and Bali are very different to most of the experiences you get from Thailand. I would best describe Bali as a party island with lots of fun side quests to enjoy.

Day 8

The landmark is the Lemongrass Thai Legian restaurant. Jl. Melasti, Legian, Kec. Kuta Sel., Kabupaten Badung, Bali 80361, Indonesia

This is a really good summary of my experience. Also if you're in the market for a tattoo, it seems there are at least 1,000 shops. Walking down the street it is 1) tattoo 2) restaurant 3) massage place 4) shopping - rinse and repeat 1,000,000 times. I would also say it is 85% Aussies, 10% Russians, 3% American, and 2% other as far as tourists.

it didn't seem like that was ever an option - I just came back from a 2nd trip to Bali, I would say using a handler to bring gals to you is the preferred method vs recruiting a massage gal.
