None from what I have gleaned. The report itself says some bangkok high end hotels are offering lower prices compared. Here are some nightly rates for November week stay.

Acqua 1739

Areca 3532

Siam @ Siam 2748

March 996 (good value for mid November)

Ozo 2877

Holiday inn express 1879

Sanctuary resort 1476

Amber 2442

Adelphi 2011

Avani 5177

Melia 4920

Blackwoods 3378

Seems like yet another nothing burger article about doom and gloom for Thailand tourism. How will they ever recover from a 7% fall in tourist numbers

3500b for Areca??  That's nuts.

High-end hotels are out of my budget. I always stay in hotels in Bangkok for less than 2000 baht, and Pattaya around 1000 baht.

When the vacancy rate of hotel rooms is increasing, many may adjust their price down, in theory.

But not sure whether it really happens on the ground.

It probably depends where you look. I got 1930 baht per night (non refundable) booking direct with the hotel for the first week of November but I’ve seen it much pricier on booking sites, which tend to take the piss…I only booked a week or so ago as well.

For a cover is nice but the cover is not the book.

I booked 11 nights from 16.11 at 1475 Baht, but guess was a liker snipe, as they do not offer at that price anymore.
