Any recommendations for a luxury transfer service? Merc/BMW style?

Sunny Taxi has/had a Mercedes in the carpool, but not sure if you can order it around Pattaya or Bangkok anymore? (maybe @jerry can confirm)
 

First Class Bangkok (https://www.firstclassbangkok.com/) and Black Lane (https://www.blacklane.com/en/limousine-service-bangkok/) have such cars and more, but they are way out of my budget so have not tried them myself.

I used these for fast track and taxi and they do have Mercedes cars.

Used AOT a lot. They have the Merc EQS which is a very nice ride. 

 

Just take the taxi service inside the airport immediately after passing customs. Tell them what car you want or you’ll go elsewhere.

The standard sedan at Bht 3350 is more than  double the cost of Nams or other various other providers for a Camry. Difficult to see the value on that. 
 

I usually get a Camry from Nams, Baht 1400 if I remember correctly. Difficult to see the value added, if any, in an E class at more than three times the price.

Depends really on what you are used to. Also on the proportion a couple of thousand baht is of your disposable income / holiday money that extra represents. Someone who eke out their holiday finding the cheapest place to have a beer will take the bus. Others who dine each night at places like the Glass House might prefer a different type of transport. To go from baggage direct to car with no faffing about, milling around, waiting in the crowded meeting point for some is worth the extra. I did nams last time. I found it a bit of a faff, and I was annoyed having to wait 10 minutes for the pre booked car to arrive so will be back to AOT again. Might have been a one off, but for me they only get one chance. The extra 20 quid for that feeling of a smooth quick start to the holiday is valuable to me. 

I've done the bus a few times, and that was ok as it was quiet. Never done the train which might be interesting. 

I would always choose a Camry at 1400 over one at 3350. 
 

I don’t really understand what value an e class or an EQS offers on a 90 minute largely motorway journey. If the purchaser can articulate the value to them that’s fine.
 

It’s not about affordability for me, it’s about value. I travel Business Class because it offers me something I want and value. I’m happy with a Camry because it’s fit for purpose. 

Can also get bodyguards if you want to, might be fun for shits and giggles.

 

I've been travelling between the Airport and Pattaya, twice a year for 18 years, and it's getting a bit tedious. I've now been distracted by the horrendously expensive transport van offered on the Gents Club site. Similar to the  Devil's Den some years ago,   It would only be a one - off, of course, but it would be a nice little treat for me!  Anyone have any insight on this? Are the young ladies up to the standard of Devils Den? Would my 71 year old heart take the strain?         forksy
