New Japanese Restaurant next to Xzyte

Recommended Posts

There is a new Japanese restaurant near Xzyte disco on third road. When facing Xzyte their is a family Mart to the right and it is a few shops down.

Overall this place is good, much better value than Fuji or other chains in Thailand. Chatted with the owner/cook and he worked in Tokyo(Shibuya) for 15 years and recently opened this restaurant. It is not air conditioned but they have big fans everywhere so the heat was not a problem. He cooks the dishes one a time which i like because you can enjoy each one fresh, eat slow and drink beer(sort of izakaya style)

2 people and it came to 505 baht, we actually ordered too much but it was the first time and i wanted to taste several things

-1 Kimchi...yes, it is Korean dish but was very good with the first taste of the beer

-1 Squid dish served with cabbage

-1 Tempura(vegetables, shrimp, squid)

-1 Yaki Soba(fried noodles)

-1 rice and miso soup set

-2 large Heineken bottles

-1 water

-1 bucket of ice

Each main dish is about 60-100 Baht. They also have sets, Sashimi/Sushi(which I don't each in Thailand), and Ramen(I did not try but remember is was 59 Baht). Tried to order yaki gyoza(fried pork dumpling) but they said they were out. I wish they had sake but I did not see it on the menu but did not ask either.

I will be back again.
