As much as every hotel I have ever been to in Pattaya never gave me any trouble with bringing in girls, I do not enjoy that walk of shame through the lobby and I like my privacy. Even if I am without any girl, I like going in and out of my room multiple times a day without the need to greet and smile to reception. I understand that I don't have to do that and can just waltz straight to my room with a complete disregard to any hotel employee, but I don't feel comfortable doing so without at least acknowledging their existence.

Some hotels, like Barraquda, Amber and Holiday Inn Express, have parking lots with a lift access, this way I park my motorbike and go straight to my room without seeing anyone. 

Which other hotels provide this type of private experience? Doesn't have to be in exactly the same way. Any hotel that have some type of a convenient way to get to the room without going through the lobby/doorman.

Avani has access via Beach Road … usually an attendant there at night, but so what … this whole ‘walk of shame’ thing is a bit ridiculous … one shouldn’t be fucking someone they’re ashamed of.  

There is no walk of shame somewhere like Pattaya. They see it multiple times a day 365 days a year. They probably are so used to it, they don’t even register.

You don't have to be afraid of walk of shame in Pattaya nobody cares who you bring to your room except yourself

Thank you! Avani seems nice, although having to always go through beach road is somewhat of a nuisance. With Baraquda you can avoid beach road in its entirety and still enjoy nights out on Soi Buackhao

At The One Bay Breeze the lift is much closer to the entrance than the reception desk. On the twice i have stayed there they haven't been taking id's ( which i personally don't like ) but others have reported differently. This is very much a three star hotel mind , comfortable but not luxurious.

Areca Lodge, staying in the Evergreen Wing.  Lobby is in another building and the reception in that building was never manned during my stay.  Added bonus, can access building off Soi 15 so no going near the lobby which is off Soi Diana.

Hilton does, depending on the time.  If you go between 11 a.m. and 11 p.m., you can take the elevators up from Central and walk to the elevators to the room without going through the main lobby.

Also you can walk in from Soi Diana walking in around the outside bar and swimming pool. I had to do this with a girl who "forgot?" Her I.D. Had no problems from her though.

I'm not big on ST's, and normally hang around with LT's I've known for a while.  This means that a few times in a trip I may be sleeping alone.

You know what? (and I'm not joking) I feel like its a walk of shame NOT having a girl with you.  I hate walking past reception at night when I'm alone, as I'm sure the reception staff are thinking 'Look at that sad bastard, who cannot even get a girl in Pattaya'.

If you are embarrassed, walk up to reception like a king with your girl and say loudly 'do you still want my Girlfriends ID, I've known her a very long time'.  They will still take it, but it could make you and the girl feel a bit better.

The 21st time you say it in the same week, the reception staff may stop believing you though.

Okay, enough with people questioning the "walk of shame" angle.  We get it -- Pattaya is a town full of hookers and guys banging them.

Sleep with me hotel, it’s a strange set up that as you walk into the car park the lift to the rooms is on your right hand side so you don’t walk into any reception area. There is however sometimes a security guard at the bottom of the lifts. to make sure random people don’t just walk in

As always have said, there is no walk of shame. 

If I can stand the ops question on it’s head and ask ‘what is the most difficult hotel to bypass reception at’? My answer would be DeBua - after around 8 PM, a security guy sit right by the front door and takes ID cards of the ladies… personally I’ve got no issue with this, but I know that some guys might have a problem with it.

Altera Hotel, a really nice, but not too cheap place pretty close to Soi 6.  The lobby is option 1, BUT there is a rear entrance I think you need to key card into and has a separate elevator directly next to it separate from the ones by the lobby.  I discovered it completely on accident looking for the gym.  

I guess you have 3 options there as you can leave ID at the desk... if you walk towards it they will ask, walk strait past the desk and they won't ask, or come in the back door, which I saw but never used.  No joiner fee and I asked the desk, no extra fee if you want to bring a few "friends" back at one time.

Door you on about closes n locked about 2230 hrs until 7 am

The condo and hotel formerly known as Centara Avenue Residence aka Centara Azure Hotel aka some other new name on soi 15 across from Grand Avenue has elevators (sigh.  "Lifts") directly from the parking garage to the room.  But this is for condo rentals and not hotel rentals.

Airbnb is still renting nightly in the condos however.

I think the condo will always be Centara Avenue Residence but who knows.

Buildings A and B are the closest to the street for walking access.

Used to be able access Avani by the steps to the side of Dicey o'rieillys, at least I used to, when I stayed there.

Grande Centre point you can bypass the lobby by going through Terminal 21, this option is only available while the mall is open.

Holiday inn express has the best policy in this regard. They wont bat an eye when you bring in someone. Unless you tell the receptionist to take the ID they wont do anything. You can just walk to the elevator and its card operated. If they do take the ID they do call the room to check everything is ok when the guest leaves.

Centara Azure was the same ,don't know if Vanko International as new owners use the same policy

The “sleep with me” hotel has stairs and elevator completely separated from the lobby. So you never have to go through the lobby at all.

These are the issues for me. I don't want to pay a joiner fee, ever. That's absurd since I always book rooms for 2, but I show up alone. And it's none of their damn business what I'm doing as long as I'm quiet and legal. I find it creepy that staff at some hotels are constantly monitoring people and getting up in their business: "Falang with Thai woman; must stop them now!" Holiday Inn Express Soi Buakhao never cares; don't even need to take a lift from the garage. Most international chains don't seem to care. The whole "joiner fee" concept seems ghetto and low class to me.

Most people are honest, private, and respectful of the property.

A (low) percentage of guests think it's a "party room", and they have no respect for any quiet hours

It's also a security issue with the ladies who join you in the room. Some have a different agenda than expected.

March Hotel has some sort of a noise violation fee which I hope takes care of anyone disturbing the peace. I like having the option of turning in a girl's ID only if I want to. It must kinda suck to be a Thai woman with a Western husband or boyfriend and always being accosted by staff: "Where you go?" (in Thai).
