Interesting to see the news item highlighting train usage in Thailand.  Photos of passengers using trains.

I'd say most folk in Pattaya don't consider using a train as an option.

I travelled by train from BKK to Buriram many years ago and it took forever and was not comfortable.

Maybe high speed trains have arrived or about too.  I'm happy to use trains in europe.

Train is still the cheapest at starting from 30 baht but also the longest with there usually being delays. For students or big families that have limited income and lots of luggage, I can see it being the ideal option.
