Just a very quick review of this hotel.

The location is on Soi3 

Really nice hotel, guest friendly, quite a way up third road from any action though, this does mean it’s quiet

Food was great if a little fancy, pool was lovely and staff very accommodating 

enjoyed my stay

I just booked 4 nights at Arbour for my October trip. 2220 Baht a night including breakfast (two persons). I've heard a lot of good things about this place, although the 4,9* Google rating is probably a bit too much. 

This time next week I'll be back at The Arbour for my second visit. Once again, I've booked the Premier Double Room High Floor, £55- B2400 per night via Booking.

It's a really nice hotel, with super-friendly staff and an amazing soft mattress that gives me a great sleep with zero back pain that I get from firm or poor quality beds.

Walking is not a problem for me, which might be a slight issue for some people, although there is a motobike stance across Third Rd.

The bathroom in the room above is of a decent size with both a good-sized shower cubicle and a bath.

My only gripe is just like so many modern hotels, storage for clothing is almost non-existent, simple things like the bedside cabinets being solid with no drawer is just so stupid. I also found the charging sockets to be slightly loose when using my adapter to charge my phone.

They use the open hanger rail system, which sucks, and the safety box is a ground-level one, which can be hidden with a mirrored sliding door. Unfortunately, my door didn't quite slide to the end, although girls can be manoeuvred towards the mirror.😁 

The rooms feature a microwave and a washing machine; this really just takes up what could be drawer space. 

I stayed for a week earlier this year, and none of the girls were ID checked, a straight walk to the elevator, not a single glance in my direction, and a girl also made her way up to my room without being quizzed by staff, which could be either a positive or a negative depending on the mental state of said girl.😆

 

Agree with other posters, good modern hotel, good breakfast. I will be back next week for 7 nights, only downside (depending on the room) would be the motorcycles on Third Road in the early hours, f*ckers screeching along as if they're on a race track.

For my upcoming stay, I emailed the hotel, asking if they were guest friendly? They responded no charge for girl visiting but 500 baht for her staying overnight. Not sure if they enforce it or not, but booked somewhere else due to it.

No they don’t enforce it.    Make reservation for two.    But they don’t enforce that silly rule

I have had two separate stays at The Arbour, both for 7 days, and they have not even asked for ID, never mind charge B500.

@Ptquad thank you for sharing and I assumed as much that the response I got was a standard one and not necessarily a policy. As I know I have never been charged at their sister property Amber. But I just didn’t want to deal with it after their email. And made the reservation at a different hotel.

Booked my upcoming 3 week trip here, sadly first vacation option was may but alas... would love some advice on good things close by, restaurants, massage shops and so on. i found sharr barber on a prior trip and will visit again so thats one on the list at least

Has anyone tried bringing two girls at the same time in this hotel ?

Contacted them if it was possible but I got what looks like an automated reply, saying an overnight stay costs an additional 700 Baht, and didn't even give me an answer for a second guest.

Ive stayed several times at Arbour. Its a great hotel, but the lower levels have some traffic noise from 3rd rd. Not a big deal.

Some hotels will charge extra for the second guest if you stop at the front desk to hold IDs. All the AtMind hotels (Arbour, Amber, Arden, etc) have great service. They will take IDs if you want, or you can just walk by with your guests and they won't care. I can't imagine the staff hassling anyone.

Arbour does have a steep fee if your chick decides to bloody up the sheets. Ask me how I know....

I think Arbour is better than May, so no worries. Nearby is Da's restaurant with good Thai food and great fruit smoothies. For a good cheap smash burger try Alan Burger. It's a little past Da's. My favorite spot in Pattaya for cheap good Thai food is Ann Restraunt A&K Bar. It is a 5-10 minute walk west from Arbour. There is also a good mookata all you can eat seafood place on the corner of 3rd road and Chaloem Phrakiat 8 very near Arbour before Central Pattaya rd on the right. The girls love that place. Also, I like to get a pastry and a latte at the pool or rooftop lounge for breakfast when I stay at Arbour. That rooftop and pool are just too good to pass up.

I am looking at booking for March. Would you happen to know which rooms overlook the small soi at the back as opposed to Third Road ? I am a light sleeper so the less road noise the better. That'll be one more question when inviting a girl: "are you on mens ?"

My guess is better book the sea view or top floor rooms, or you can request a room opposite of 3rd road on online checkout.

Also, from the pics, seems like premier rooms are on 3rd road side while deluxe rooms are opposed to 3rd road.

Straight across the road ( careful ! )  there's a motor bike repair shop...go down that narrow Soi/lane you will come to Grandmas House ... open 12.30 to 9.00 pm your won't be disappointed nor will your pocket .

I don't know the layout well enough to say. I would ask for a room on the north or west sides. Another option is to go higher. 

Also, I have found that some hotels will not respond to messages unless you already booked. I think they get flooded.

Im glad you mentioned this. Im going to send a request right now for a booking I have in February.

Their reply could have been written by a lawyer. They clearly don't want to suggest one room type is in a quieter location or not. I can see they are nervous about comeback as outside noise is outside of their control. They suggested I read the room descriptions and come to my own conclusion.

I went for the Ocean View room (as much of an ocean view that you can get from Third Road at least !) as a) that should be higher and b) cannot be directly facing Third Road.

They helpfully added a photo of the ocean view

Ive had those rooms. I book those if Im looking to treat myself. That should put you on the quieter west side of the building and pretty high. It will be good. 

You're right that it can be hard to get straight answers to specific questions. What can I say? This is Thailand. Facts are secondary, and I think many locals think westerners are nuts because we can be very picky...among other reasons. Have fun!

Just a quick one, currently on my third stay at The Arbour, and previously the room had the open clothing rack that seems popular, with a sliding mirrored door.

This room has the built in wardrobe leaving the fridge+ washing machine open.

Is this a refurb or has it always been this way.

My previous stays were Premier high floor while this is Premier Double, identical rooms and obviously just a higher floor level. 

I much prefer the proper build in wardrobe for obvious reasons.

Stayed at Arbour at least 6 times in the past couple of years, if you do not like the sound of boy racers on Third Road at 04.00 in the morning choose a higher floor on either side, lower floors are definitely noisier and some rooms with balcony appear to be echo chambers enhancing the noise. Third Road side rooms will also have the sun most of the day, the 'ocean view' side is more shaded.

Recently (Feb) stayed at the Arbour hotel for 5 nights in a balcony room looking towards north with a little bit of sea view. Very quiet and comfy bed. Though the bathroom's lack of clothes hanger (only one at the door and for some reason a towel rack in the toilet stall but not near the shower) is a bit of a bother. I also find that the cleaning staff may need a bit of training or help as on the first day we came back at around 5pm after going out in the morning and found that the room is still not cleaned. Also the room has a washing machine but does not dry and the fridge doesn't have a freezer so cannot keep ice.

Checked in today first impressions,well, not that positive.

The room is not particularly big but okay sized has some amenities that are not much beneficial to me anyway (washing machine  microwave).Room on the 6th floor so not much of a view (obviously the more expensive rooms will be on the upper floors).

The rooftop pool offers some nice views.

However, there is a limited number of sun lounges (counted 14) which might be a problem in high season. 

The rooftop bar is nice though.

Overall I liked more the Adelphi hotel which is cheaper, more centraly located and has bigger rooms. 

Price I paid was around 1650 baht/night via Agoda.

Hotcarrot, for how long are you staying? I should be in town in a couple of days, same hotel.

Have you checked out their sauna? If so, how big is it?

I stayed in this hotel back in September 2025. Food was top notch. Gym facility was okay. Front desk was helpful and staff was professional. They call you to confirm/check up on you before and after you invite a lady up to your room, which is a nice touch of security. Location was decent, but I much prefer being near Beach Road/Second Road where I have better accessibility to the baht bus.
