Just sharing a few places I like in jomtien.

I'm staying in soi 4

Happy Beach hotel.

More to come on that later..

But those who like a good massage..

I would recommend this place..

 

And in my opinion.. without recommending the lady.. it is next to useless..

Lam Yai..

She may be little.. but she packs a punch..

Both leg and oil massages are excellent.. found muscles I didn't know I had...

I'm sure there are other good ladies.. but once I had Lam Yai.. I didn't try anyone else..

Highly recommended from me as well.  The others along beach road are ok, but this one is the pick of the lot.

The one with the face mask on in the first photo isn't as strong a massage as your one, the rest of them are in-between her and your one.

Oh and don't even think about asking for extras.

LamYai gets into places I didn't think possible..

I have buggered knees and they've got really bad recently..

She has improved my pain and walking ability immensely..

I am grateful for what she does... I usually alternate daily between 90 minute oil and leg massages...

Extras.. nah.. wouldn't even consider it there.. unless that hot chick at the front desk was available.. 😱😆

Places I've stayed in the area..

(My essentials are now balcony and elevator...) I found I don't use a pool much these days.

Mostly around the 30aud or 650 bt range

Zing on main road halfway to Pattaya. (2 or 3 times)

Has 2 swimming pools. One on the roof felt like a hot bath.

Good hotel clean and comfortable rooms (hope you like the colour purple)

Good access to poth parts and jomtien by baht bus.

Unfortunately last time I stayed the bed was like a pool table 😬

Zing resort.. nice pool.. had room with balcony looking over it.close to jomtien and baht bus both ways. From memory it was ok...

Z by zing... Bit out of the way. Same purple theme.. was a while ago and remember anything bad about it.. staff were nice.. I see now they include breakfast so can be good value for $$$.

Sun and beach hotel.. just off Thappraya road opposite turn off to Pratamnak.

Pool but no elevator I didn't have a balcony room.. from what I remember was ok... Little bit out of the way but close enough to the bb route.

The Dale Pattaya boutique hotel.. no elevator..

Nice pool and spacious rooms.. very nice..

On main baht bus route again

Jomtien long stay.. near where Thappraya road turns off to jomtien beach..

Nah.. from what I remember.. falling to bits..

Grand residence hotel... Good size rooms, elevator balcony .. getting on but was ok..  very close to rompo market.

Le Nara residence.  (2x) ..bit out of the way on Bun Kanchana..

Clean, spacious, balcony.. lots of (street) food choices around, 

Tried 3 massage places and all where shit...

FX hotel ..Pratamnak.. Thought I'd give this area a go. Comfy bed, good size rooms.. pool... it was ok.. lot of Russians and Indians...

I do have to stress.. these are budget hotels..but some were pretty reasonable.. 

Also a bit vague as this has been over a number of years..

After I "overwalked" this morning, I thought this post was a direct message from "someone above" for me, so I went to the massage shop for a foot massage.  Unfortunately, I have not been the only one reading the forum so LamYai was servicing a customer... since I was there I decided to take one for the team and I took the next in line... her name was Toy or Koi?? massage was adequate, but surely she did not find any muscles I did not know I had.  I will try another day for LamYai see if I get luckier.

The Rompho "food" market..

Where you can enjoy many different Thai delicacies.. 

 

At least 20 different styles of chicken.. from flat to fat.. grilled, fried, bbq'd.. chargrilled, and deep deep fried...  

 

This was ment to be a recommendation.. but now I'm not so sure.. with so much delicious food in one place.. what could go wrong?

So after ordering a crispy pork and kale.. I wandered off looking for an entre... And found a branch of col Sukhumvit's nor'eastern DEEP!! Fried chicken... Fresh from a cauldron of world class palm oil..

It was like something that had washed up on the beach after an oil tanker had run aground..

Ok.. a bit greasy.. what else could go wrong..?

Back to my table.. waiting waiting...

I asked the girl.. Crispy pork?

Yes yes... Coming...

Waiting waiting...

Then I noticed some confusion occuring at the stall.. and she came over with a dish.. that was definitely not crispy pork and kale... Some weird instant noodle dish... So it seems.. they had delivered my dish to someone else.. and wanted me to eat his..

Um no!!

Then crispy pork finished..

Ok.. no thank you.. as I wandered off to eat an average kebab..

I'm not sure who was more disappointed.. her for me not eating the crappy dish she wanted to give me.. or me... Missing out on my KP.. which I had been looking forward to all day.. after my fav cafe on soi 4 was closed for QBD..

My room

Suits me fine.. good size.. firm but comfortable bed... Big fridge.. nice balcony.. with a glimpse of the sea.. 

Lots of light from the big windows.

      ...I'm paying 650 a night... 

They have cheaper rooms with no window.. through to a 2 bedroom apartment with jacuzzi on the balcony..

I was seriously having a look at T5 suites on pratamnak. Rooms seem nice for the low price of under 700 baht. Has cheap food and 7/11 nearby and on the baht bus route. Really intriguing

Thanks for the Jomtien info on soi 4!! as I’ll have a look wen I’m back there as seems a fave well recommended Thai restaurant plus there’s a good barber shop Focard there too that I’ll try. The Guest house looks nice too compared to many others on the soi…

This place is great value but gets busy so better to get there early. A couple of times I've been I had to wait for a table. This also makes service a little slow as they don't have a lot of staff

I use a barber in soi 2. Coming from beach Rd about half way down on the left. He's a one man band and very meticulous. But he had a big price increase recently and now charges 120 baht. 😁

Okay, yet no way I could look at her for an hour, always get good looking massage ladies in their 30's or so...  to each their own, if on holiday and just want a great massage, likely doesn't matter how they look

Yes... Have frequented it on many visits and there have been times where there was a wait for a table..

But.. ATM.. there always free tables.. so come on down...

Don't know if this is true or not.. but my neighbour told me that they had a big win on the lottery and shut down for a month.. maybe many regulars gave up..?

Usually the eggs just have one bruised eye...must have been a big dust-up in the kitchen this morning.. 🤣
