It's time to replace the tires on my Aerox 155. Looking for recommendations for tires and a location in Pattaya to purchase?

+1 and following wit interest. Still got a few miles left on mine but navigating Phratamnak hills daily skidding in coming rainy season is [one of] my concerns

Tagging @pattayagolf as he owns DK Motorbike Rentals and might have some good recommendations.

I have seen EZ tires recommend a lot on FB.

I view tires a bit differently in that I consider tires consumable items--I am specifically not looking for a tire that lasts forever. The harder, and longer lasting the rubber compound in the tire, the less I want it on my bike. Hard tires don't grip but last a long time. Soft tires are grippy, but wear faster. On a two wheel vehicle I want as grippy as reasonably possible. My skin needs to stay where it is, and not get left on the road. 

My tires of choice are Pirellis, and I generally order them from a bike shop in Chang Mai and have them EMS'd to me. I did find this shop on Lazada as an illustration, but I have not specifically purchased from them.

Also consider going a size wider on the rear to improve ride quality.

My friend swears by Pirelli Angel for his aerox.

Important

Ask them what year the tyres were manufactured,  sometimes the tyres can be 2 years old already,  On the tyre itself will show the year of manufacture

Oh, also important, double-check the rotation direction indicator on the tire after they install them to make sure they installed them to spin in the proper direction when you're rolling forward. 🙂 

I had IRCs fitted on my Aerox last year from the Yamaha dealership on sukumvit good price and have had no problems with them in the dry or wet 2979 baht for the pair

yes good tyres, they are the original factory fitted ones, good for 15-20,000 kms

I used iMoto to replace the tyres on my Triumph Trident last year...used them before for my Honda PCX as well.

Recommended place and they have special offers all the time on FB...just read the reviews on the tyres and pick one which suits.

The older models are always the cheapest, but generally they are still fine as long as they are in date (see above for checking the date of manufacture)...I think I got the model before the latest one, for a big saving. They fitted and balanced the tyres while you wait.

They also came out and fixed my tyre puncture for free so I could ride to their shop which was a nice touch.

I procrastinated on buying new tires for 3 months, but finally moved the cobwebs on my wallet aside and spent 4,850B for a new set of Pirelli Angels for my Aerox 155.

Noticed right away a difference in the bike's handling compared to the originals they replaced. Any slight turn I made the tires felt like they were grabbing into the turn. I'm guessing that's because of the softer, grippier tread that I'm not used to. Plus after 4 years and 9,200B on the old, there wasn't much tread left to grip the road.

It's too early to tell for sure, but I expect going with the premium tires will be money well spent during the rainy days.
