Premuim gym

Featured Replies

I am coming on holiday soon and need a gym to work out in. I am your usual fat, sweaty farang, so I cannot work out in gyms without A/C. Also I hate crowded places and want quality equipment. That seems to weed out the gyms near my hotel (Sun, Coco, Fitness7). Elite Gym looks nice, so is that my best option, or are there better gyms? I will have to take a taxi anyway, so anything within 5 km from Central Festival is fine.

Not sure what options are left. Train early in the morning?

Try the BRICK gym. Doesn’t get busy. Has A/C. Nice atmosphere. Quality of equipment is pretty good. Very clean. Changing room facilities are decent. Staff are very friendly.

Was using Coco last year and really liked the gym [and the view]. IMO the gym is not busy low season and, unless you're an early bird, AC is on from 10PM.

Looks good, thanks!. Do you know the price for 1 month?

I am definitely not an early bird, so I will look into it. Thanks.

I think it was 3300 on the printed literature but in March this year they showed me a price list where they hade pen written a new price of 2800 over the printed price.

Most of the customers are what look like middle class Thais. Plenty of BMWs and Mercs in the car park. I am guessing that limiting the number of random walk-in tourists might be a part of the pricing. All the staff and gym goers are friendly. Really nice relaxed atmosphere. From what you have said I think it would be ideal.

Great suggestions I’ve added brick and Sun to my list.  I plan to try them all including muscle factory over in jomtien.  Would love to hear  more suggestion over that way.

Will Do.  I'm 1 month out from getting there.

Sun Fitness in your opinion is crowded or has bad equipment? For me equipment is really good, I didn't feel anything more was needed there. Maybe just a spot with more open space. And I didn't feel it was crowded, but I was in low season.

I haven't been there personally, but I have read lots of reviews and met a guy who said that it was crowded in the mid afternoon. What time did you usually work out?

I was there mostly before noon, but sometimes at 2-4pm and didn't feel much difference. Price was 140b if I remember correctly.

I decided to go with Coco. I have been there a week, and I am satisfied with air conditioning and crowdedness. Equipment could be a little better, but I can get everything done. I could work out here regularly if I had to.

Muscle Factory in Pratumnak, while a bit more expensive than run of the mill gyms, is where a lot of bodybuilders/gear heads work out. It’s a sizable gym with plenty of equipment. While it does not have AC, it has massive ceiling fans that keep the gym comfortable enough to work out in.
