To pattaya directly or bangkok

Featured Replies

I land at BKK at midnight and I’m struggling to decide to take nam’s directly to pattaya and get to my hotel very late or to stay a night in Bangkok than take a ride to pattaya the next day.  Pros of Bangkok would be I’d likely hit up woods bar same night and catch a soapy before heading to sin city.  Pros for direct to Pattaya would be I would wake up first day already in sin city.  I’m sure others have had similar flight situations.  Let me know your thoughts.

According to their web page Wood close at 1am so you likely not get there in time. Not sure if they usually are open later than announced. If your looking for a Soapie Annie's is the place which is the sister bar of Woods (but I would argue there is better places in Bangkok for this).

Nana is open to 3am and there will always be other options around ofc.

Personally if getting to Pattaya the next day anyway I wouldn't do the hassle of Bangkok and just go straight to Pattaya. It's 30-40 minutes getting into Bangkok and 1.5 hrs getting to Pattaya and there will still be massage places open for some special service when you arrive if you so wish.

woods bar will be closed and anything similar you would be cock number 6 for the night.

Get private car taxi to sin city for 1300 baht

Appreciate the advice, to Pattaya directly it is unless someone has a convincing reason to head to Bangkok.  I’ll be back in Bangkok for a few days with a buddy after 10 or so day in pattaya later in the trip.

Bangkok first. Head to Pattaya at night.

i have never stayed in bangkok, always went directly to pattaya. usually my plane always lands at around 10 pm, i just take the bus outside the airport to pattaya (big bus, only 200 baht) 2 hours and im in pattaya

The five times I went to Pattaya, I took a taxi directly from BKK after landing 5555 no waiting in the capital.

Whether I landed at midday, middle of evening, 1am, 7am....whatever, just straight to paradise 😍

I don't see the point in booking a hotel in BKK, taking a cab to the hotel, spending the night there, then having to take a cab to Pattaya the next day anyway.

Plus, Pattaya is awake 24h/24, so you can always find some fun whatever time you arrive.

I am also arriving just after midnight in BKK (Korean Air). I was originally planning on booking a close by hotel to get some sleep then back to the airport the next morning to catch a VIP Bus to Pattaya. When I posted here for input I was convinced to instead Order a Nam's Taxi and just go straight to my hotel in Pattaya. Everybody is different but the more I thought about it, the more sense it made for me.

Discussed loads of times on here, but the 1st night in Pattaya is always the way to go for me.

BKK airport to a Bangkok central hotel always takes me about 45 minutes, and to Pattaya it takes about 90 minutes - so its not a HUGE difference.  Also, if you are lucky, you can take an hours nap on the way down.

Land at Midnight - and if all goes very well you are in your Hotel in Patts at 2.00am - but 2.45am I would say at the very latest.  Walking Street would be in full flow then.

At least then you also wake up in the morning where you actually want to be - and not have to get another taxi.......

Exactly what I meant, I have the same reasoning. Can't be a true Addict if you're not rushing to paradise 🤣

For me in previous trips to Asia I always need to sleep after I get there or I am useless for a full day. Last time I landed in Hong Kong I was so exhausted it felt like I was thinking in reverse lol. It's 22-25 hours for me from middle US though.

So if I was going that route I'd do airport hotel at BKK, but that's 3-4X the cost of just taking the 1.5 hour drive to Pattaya and doing the same thing...what's another 1.5 hours after all that.

My plan is to put 2-3 days in Bangkok on the back end of the trip.

I always go straight to Pattaya as well. It is much more convenient to take a taxi from BKK to Pattaya than from city center. Sometimes I take a few days in Bangkok on my way back.

From most the posts people say pattaya is more active then bangkok. Better girls probably tighter pussys lol

I’ve always stayed in Bangkok then Pattaya then Phuket, I like to settle in for a few days first when I arrive

I would probably make sure you stay the night and take the morning trip to Pattaya the next day. The trip from BKK or even DMG airport to Pattaya is definitely long

Not definitely long..90 minutes max at that time of night from SUV. Cheaper and a lot more sensible than shelling out for a Bangkok Airport hotel (with the taxi fare also)..Straight to Pattaya..no brainer.

I guess to each their own… rather spend my first night in thailand just hanging in bangkok than immediately go to pattaya.

get the drive out of the way the sooner u get there the better i think. My last trip i got there late and dead tired but i still went out and ended up out till super late and met the best girl i bar-fined all trip. i reckon the sooner your there the sooner the fun a can begin u will probably sleep till sundown the next day but who need the day time in patts anyway

Get Nams taxi and get the drive done and get to your hotel in Pattaya… traffic will be dead so should be at hotel less than 90 minutes. Then you can decide if your going out or hitting the hay and start fresh next morning… I used to always do BKK first but now I just get to Pattaya and settle in for few days.

Straight to Pattaya, no faffing about.

I remember with pleasure the very small sleeping rooms at the railway floor. Small but cheap and feasible if you are very tired after a long travel. Arrive, take luggage, minimum bureaucracy and can rest here. Than in the morning you are ready to take a taxi, go to check-in in Pattaya and have a first intense day  ;-)

Not with the majority here

Bangkok is an amazing place for the massage, nuru and blowjob bars.

My next 5 weeks trip I will spend one week in bangkok

Not only for the girls

I want to sample best of the food Bangkok have to offer: Japanese, thai, buffets,...

And in the daytime do touristy stuff.

But each to their own

Back to Pattaya November!!!

I agree with your thoughts on Bangkok.  I plan to go direct to Pattaya and will spend my last week in Bangkok once I’ve been there done that in Pattaya.  While I’m looking forward to the massage and soapy scene in Bangkok, there’s way more to do beyond that.

  • 2 weeks later...

I do like to spend some time in Bangkok, next trip 2 nights 1 day at the beginning then 1 night 1 day at the end.

love the Nuru scene in BK and a couple of upmarket places that don’t exist in Pattaya

also as said above some excellent restaurants
