Pattaya United 2025/2026 Season

Featured Replies

A quick update.

So, after last season relegation, we should be looking forward to a T3 season.

But, during this close season, there has been 3 teams with money problems, Lampang, NakhonSri and Nongbua Pitchaya.

And only today, it has been confirmed that Lampang has disbanded, and that Pattaya United will take their place, and remain in T2.

So we should be playing at home against Chainat on the 15th of August, for the first game of the season.

Will post the full seasons fixture list when it is released.

Yes, plenty of tickets available to purchase at the stadium, leading up to kick off.

And the other twist was, did the owner of Pattaya United buy Lampang, so Pattaya did not get relegated?

Unproven, but there was a lot of finger pointing.

Anyway, it has not made much difference, as they are looking like being relegated this season again.

The Brazilian manager was sacked two days ago, which was not surprising really.

But also being shown the door, was our two star strikers, Brandao & Pedro, who have been snapped up by two teams hoping to make a push for promotion.

Alarm bells ringing again.

So, with 17 games to go, requiring a Manager/Coach, and at least 3 new players, can they dig themselves out of this hole?

And while I am talking about football in Pattaya, I should mention that, since last season there is a second team playing at Nong Prue Stadium, which is BFB Pattaya City.

They used to play at Sri Racha, but changed their name, and moved to Pattaya last season, hoping to pick up more support.

I understand that, but ... I will never understand why both Pattaya United, and Pattaya City fail to promote themselves a bit better, especially among the Farang community and businesses?

Anyway, Pattaya City play in the lower league T3, which kind of means, along with Pattaya United, there is a game to go to every weekend.

Not seen a second half of the season fixture list for Pattaya City yet, but can post here if anyone is interested.

In fact, if you would like this thread updated more, then show a bit more interest 🙂

Are their more teams in Sri Racha than the one that moved?

You'd think they'd get more support there, especially from the Korean/Japanese population if they scouted some of those players rather than falang ones.

BTW, the Jersey is still the same?

Just found this thread. I always try and get to at least one game during my trips with the first one being back in the mid 2000s. Really enjoy the atmosphere and a few beers as well. Mrs likes it too but being from Buriram she always reminds me who's top football dog in Thailand. They have a good selection of shirts and accessories round the back of the stadium. A recommended night out for sure !

Just a quick update on Pattaya United's season.

With 3 games to go, relegation looks less likely, but not impossible.

Thanks to the Thai FA, I am still trying figure out, how I can attend the last home game of the season, on the 19th 😐

Couldn't you take a nearby hotel (if any exists)?

Quite easily in the end, another 4 points and we would have made the playoffs.

Hindsight is great, but those games we lost due to goalkeeping errors were costly, and thankfully he was dropped.

It was enjoyable season, due to Gustavo Apis, and Gregory Rocha, who were excellent, after New Year.

And we are now at the stage, when contracts are running out, and it looks like it will be a whole new team next season.

Looks like Gustavo Apis will join Chonburi in T1 ☹️

Going to be interesting in T2 next season, with MuangThong United, Korat, and Kanchanburi being relegated from T1.

I've read that they're building a 20k stadium in Pattaya. Will United play there? 20,000 is already a big crowd, and it's hard to get that many fans even in a lot of places where football is more popular than in Thailand 🤔

Hopefully not.

I know, I will not be going there, Chaiprayuek is too far for me, hate stadiums with running tracks, and I really like Nong Prue Stadium.
