In Pattaya, are there any shops that can provide proof of wood type, manufacture date & origin?

To get wooden instruments from LoS into Australia, these are required, the instrument not contain Rosewood, Ivory, Shell, be free of pests and be declared among other things. 

If possible, I'd love to do a "make your own phim" workshop and get 1-2 beginner lessons but getting it through customs sounds bothersome.

If it's a finished product (ie. Painted or varnished) then it shouldn't be a problem if you carry it yourself. I've taken guitars to Australia and back, no questions asked.
