Holiday visa for my wife's sister

HELLO ALL, THIS IS MY FIRST POST ON THIS SITE.I HOPE I CAN GET SOME GREAT ADVICE FROM YOU ALL IT WOULD BE MUCH APPRECIATED.

 

I`M LOOKING TO BRING MY THAI WIFE`S 18 YEAR OLD SISTER TO THE UK FOR A HOLIDAY IF POSSIBLE,WAS WONDERING IF ANYBODY HAS DONE A SIMILAR THING AND WHAT IT INVOLVES.

 

MY WIFE HAS LIVED IN THE UK WITH ME FOR 2 YRS SINCE JUNE 2ND 2007 AND IS DUE A BABY AT THE END OF THIS MONTH

 

WOULD LIKE HER SIS TO FLY OVER TO HELP WITH THE BABY FOR AS LONG AS POSS. I KNOW HOLIDAY VISAS ARE ONLY ALLOWED FOR UPTO 6 MONTHS.

 

DOES ANYONE KNOW WHAT WE HAVE TO PROVE? IS IT THE USUAL BANK STATEMENTS ETC CAPER ?

 

- DOES HER SIS NEED TO SHOW FUNDS ASWELL AS US?

- WILL ARIVAL OF BABY HELP?

- WILL MY WIFES RIGHT TO REMAIN IN UK VISA THAT I HAVE JUST APPLIED FOR HELP?

I don't have any specifics but I know a guy who has done what you want to do so it should not be a problem. You may want to neglect to tell immigration that the purpose of her stay is to help out with the baby. They might be funny and think she will be taking a job off of someone. Keep things simple and say that she is coming for a visit.

Not impossible but getting more difficult, If she has a good job in Thailand and can show letter from work giving her leave for holiday, cash in the Bank,

Credit cards, own house in Thailand and children, good UK sponcer other than sister.

 

I have found that if the UK sponcer has large UK assetts cash / property etc, and the girl has 100% reason not to overstay ther is a high chance of Visa being granted. You do not need an agent all information is on thaivisa.com and the guys there are very helpful.
