While I have NEVER thought "what WS REALLY needs is a high tech LED sign!", this might make sense.

I wonder if they will sell advertising on it?  Could be a decent income source, as that area gets a TON of foot traffic.

The Sphere here in Las Vegas quickly became iconic because of the displays on its exterior.  I think they are using it for advertising, BUT they will not advertise for events that that they feel undercut their potential ticket sales.

That place looks epic.  Never really considered going to vegas personally but some of the visuals at concerts there look amazing even on camera, must be incredible inside and I'd like to go some time.  There was a proposal to build one in London but there were concerns about light pollution or some bollocks.  Shame really.

I saw the Eagles there.  A vendor took me, so the seats were great and the visuals were amazing.  I've never seen anything like it.  Best rendition of hotel California this side of Pattaya!  5555

I thought I'd really like to take my brother to see them, but the tickets i checked cost like 2 grand!

Sphere is amazing inside and out, but they are losing their ass on it.  I read online that they lost $125 million in 1st Q of 2025 and over $500 million over the last 12 months.

I think this is a good move for the city.

The Walking Street entrance has needed a refresh for a while now.  The old Samsung screen was a good step back in the day (2017, I think), but it’s been looking tired ever since they switched back to a static sign. I liked the old Samsung screen, which showed ads from what I remember, but it fit better with the energy of the street. Walking Street might be a shell of its former self for mongering, but for clubbing and Windmill, it’s still great for me when I’m on holiday.
