Recommended Hotel (or similar) Lunch Buffets

Friends and I have usually gone out for a decent meal on one or other’s birthdays but we’ve all reached the stage where we’d rather go lunchtime than for a slap-up meal in the evening.

There is Casa Pascal but I really looking for something a little better if possible. I know of the Hilton which has a different buffet each day and that’s a definite possibility. However, on some days the particular buffet doesn’t really appeal tbh.

I was wondering if anyone knew of any alternatives to the Hilton of a similar standard.

Maybe Dicey Reilly’s on a Sunday, but otherwise?

Sportsman and Beefeater weekend buffets, but maybe they are below the level you want.

Haru Japanese buffet near Pattaya North Rd, very good if you like Japanese. IMO the best Japanese in town.

The Sunday cheese and charcuterie buffet at L'Auberge for something different?

There are Indian all you can eat hotel buffets, eg Andaaz, but I very much doubt they are what you want.

Bangkok hotels on Eatigo of course have numerous options at and maybe above the level you want.  I have several Bangkok Eatigo hotel buffet favourites.  It's a shame Pattaya hotels don't seem to use Eatigo much.

For this year at least we’re looking at a Monday and Wednesday for the first 2 birthdays - which is why I’m looking for alternatives to the Hilton.

I’m afraid I’m very picky as regards food so won’t eat Japanese or Indian.

I have used Eatigo in the past but it’s more limited now in Pattaya than before COVID.

A buffet would be preferable as there’s a variety of food preferences between us all.

Beefeater was acceptable, but they had a manager (farang) who was nothing short of a total "asshole"

He demanded a reservation to sit inside and had a reservation system on his website for this purpose.

But he lacked manners when speaking to his customers.

I’ve only been there once, not for the buffet, and have no desire to return.

Mexican is yet another ‘cuisine’ that can be added to my ‘No Way’ list. I did say I was fussy 

Anyway, I really am looking for somewhere better.

It's kind of embarrassing that the American menu is basically burgers, hot dogs, and tacos.

I mean, it's accurate, but still embarrassing.

It's NOT what you are asking, but I have eaten the Hilton buffet on both a Monday and a Wednesday.

IIRC, the Monday Smokehouse Grill offerings were disappointing.  I wouldn't recommend it.

I was fairly happy with the Wednesday buffet, as the burger was one of the best that I have had in Pattaya - tasted like it came off of a backyard BBQ grill.  BUT I don't know if it was worth 650 baht.

Thanks. I was uncertain about the Monday but more negative than positive. If it’s just slabs of meat, sausages etc then it wouldn’t suit our group. Wednesday is a complete no-no for me as I don’t eat burgers, tacos and other assorted shite 

Are there other options eg Thai or salads etc apart from the main theme each day??

Honestly, having trouble remembering, so my guess is that it wasn’t a great selection.

Ok, thanks. I may pop up and have a look when I’m in Central Festival. Thought about it yesterday when I took the pic, though I was a bit underdressed.
