Siam Siam, Baraquda, Mytt or Mera Mare?

Featured Replies

Hi, all these seem to be around the same price point (around £70-£80 a night) for the same room size (around 35 sqm options at that price).

Baraquda: Good location for WS but have read that it's getting a bit tired looking. Then again some reports mention some floors being refurbished. Anybody stay there recently with some feedback on this?

Siam Siam: No real balcony to sit on (besides a tiny thing I would on a higher floor not like to stand on :)). Seller here seems the rooftop pool and bar. Anybody stayed recently with some feedback on the rooms?

Mytt: Soi 3. Don't really know the area but looks like a nice hotel

Mera Mare: not too far from Soi 6 and also looks nice.

Anybody stayed in the above hotels can tell me what their experience was?

I will spend time both on Soi 6 and WS and don't mind hopping on a taxi bike so geting to either wouldn't be the deciding factor.

Didn't really like Siam@Siam, probably the worst hotel on my recent stay. You should also check out these hotels Altera, Arden or Aster, fairly close to Soi 6 and around or even less than £70. Think they also provide a shuttle bus to Terminal 21 and Central mall. I'm thinking of booking the Arden for my next trip.

My info is a little old as last time I stayed in any was pre covid however I've stayed siam siam mara mere and barracuda, all have plus and negative. Mara mere decent room size good location. Negatives you can here everything in the next room as they have connecting doors plus if you use a pool it's very shallow all the way down. Barracuda, imo best out of them location wise, great big bed funky rooms service great. Pool goes in the shade early was my only negative here. Siam siam found rooms really small balcony is pointless, fantastic party pool terrible location. Barracuda out of them wins for me. In that price range I'd stay amethyst hotel or Somerset.for a bit less the @mind group hotels are all good as said before altera arden close to soi 6 if that's what your after

I am also considering the Siam@Siam hotel.
I've heard that the water pressure is weak and some rooms are very humid.
I'd like to hear opinions from recent visitors on whether this is still the case

Thanks. Looks like you can recommend it. I never stayed there and was worried about reports that it was getting very dated and rooms were old with damp smells. I know they have been renovating some floors but not sure if the entire hotel was done.

Thanks. I'm actually staying in Amethyst for my first week but hadn't booked a place for my second week yet. Looks like two positive feedbacks on Baraquda so far then :).
