Best place to stay in pattaya?

Featured Replies

I was thinking of having a 2 week trip to pattaya. I found some nice places abit further away from walking street to stay (jomtien? 10 mins away by motorcycle). I was mainly thinking of using thaifriendly to find freelancers but also going to walking street  to get some phone numbers of bargirls for outcalls. Would jomtien be ok for alot of these activities or would most people say its worth paying the premium to be right next to walking street?

I am expecting to spend about 1.5k aussie dollars for the whole trip including girls, but i can stretch abit more if needed.

I would say stay Central Pattaya for your first visit. For two weeks you could always split it in two bookings with a cancellation options on the second week and move to Jomtien for the last week if Pattaya is too intense for you.

If it's your first time I would also suggest to not only rely on freelancers. Bars make the vetting process so much easier. And Walking Street might not be your preferred hunting ground unless you have a pretty high budget as it's the most expensive place in town for both barfines and girls rates.

Somewhere close to second road between Central Pattaya Road and South Pattaya Road and you will have very easy access to the baht bus to go between all areas in Central Pattaya including Soi 6 and WS. There is a large selection of hotels in this area.

Jomtien is big.
The Dongtan beach end is quite close to Walking St but it goes out beyond Copacabana which is miles out.
The further out you go the cheaper the accomodation becomes but you wouldn't be getting anything like the mongers Pattaya experience.
YMMV.

Would many girls from thai friendly refuse to come to my hotel if i lived abit too far out? I was thinking of staying around https://maps.app.goo.gl/KK49Yupfuk5oAYAb7

I personally found the selection on thaifriendly to be sufficient, but i might occassionally go to walking st or other hot spots.

That would be around 30k baht?

Certainly forget Walking Street. Even sticking to TF I kinda struggle to see how this is viable for two weeks. Depends, of course, on how many encounters you're looking for :)

Probably not a problem for TF as many girls live a bit outside of centrum anyway.

TF is great, but it can also be a bit hassle, specially with the younger popular girls. But everything depends on how you like to play :)

If the whole trip including girls is including accommodation, you are really going to struggle as around 2,000Baht a day after accommodation, food and drink (even just water!) is not going to allow for much else. Maybe a week might be better?

2 weeks, 1.5k AUD, a little over 2200 baht a day. Usual quoted price on TF is 2000.
The math aint mathing.

On this budget id suggest a week trip and looking to avoid WS for anything but walking. Soi6, Beach Road, Tree Town may be your better hunting grounds.

Unsure of whether my advice is unwarranted so feel free to ignore and view it as me being nosy.

I don't that girls would outright refuse to come to your hotel but I would not recommend telling them your hotel address upfront unless you've already had a ST with them. In the digital age there are so many filters and AI that can make a girl look 10x more attractive then she actually is and it can be difficult to tell a LB from a girl based on just pictures. If you provide these people your address some may be belligerent or hostile at the hotel lobby demanding a fee when you decide not to go through with the appointment since they look nothing like the photos. To prevent this headache, I would suggest meeting them nearby your hotel (2-5 min) in front of a restaurant, bar, or club. That way you can confirm they look adequate and get a verbal confirmation on the services provided before heading over to the hotel.

You'll probably need about 450AUD per day if you want to hit up the bars. You can probably get away with 200AUD per day with just 1 TF lady & a couple meals per day while maybe getting 2 TF ladies every other day, but that's all that will get you where you're pretty much just sitting in your room or just walking around; this is in ideal condition too. Of course this is just considering spending money as no idea if this 1500AUD includes hotel or not. You might get multiple duds that you're paying for via TF which will make your trip absolute shit. Also have to consider about 150AUD just getting from to & from Pattaya/airport.

Anyways, find the cheapest room in central Pattaya that way mototaxi isn't eroding your daily spend.

I’ve gone for central - Areca lodge. Researched quite a bit and it’s perfect for my needs. Close to LK metro, Tree town. I only plan on doing walking street and soi 6 once  so I’ll just walk or baht bus on those days.  I think central bars are more my thing.
Areca also guest friendly, looks clean and comfortable most importantly quieter at night (hopefully).

On such a very thight budget (30k THB for 2 weeks), first time in Pattaya, wanting sex every day: Beach Road freelancers. ST. And a room in a gueshouse near beach road, for around 800 to 1000. Or TF freelancers. ST. And an even cheaper accomodation near 3d Road.  Nothing left for restaurants etc.. So you have to stick with 7 Eleven and street food. - I personally would rather stay at home than spending such a vacation.

Thats the beauty part of Pattaya. There is some action to be had for just about every budget. When you're an addict you just want to be a part of the action. The girls seem desperate. I've been home in the US for 3 months now and they are complaining no customers nobody spending much money.  At least the ones on my LINE are saying this. He might be able to make that budget work for him. But like you said he'd probably want to get a cheap accomodation so more money can be spent elsewhere. Harrys is a great budget option on Soi Diana.

Just reading your intro, I think you need to read more on this forum, so much info about what Pattaya has to offer. There is so much to experience in Pattaya especially if it is your first time. Embrace the experience or maybe "hold on to your hat" and enjoy the experience!

Hmmm... areas to research: ST/LT concept, general bar girls, Soi 6 experience (its different), GCs, very naughty GCs, Soapies, Night Clubs, Beach Road, Massages, "obvious" very naughty massage places, TF as you already mentioned.

I started in Jomtien. It's more relaxed.

It's ok for taking LTs back but overall a nuisance. Not far but gets annoying.

Nowadays Soi 10 beach road and Soi Honey right in the centre of action.

Most of my TF stunning darlings live around central Pattaya.  Ideal for STs which I prefer now

It also depends on where in the world you live. In my region, P4P is legal and abudant.  Although the pure service fee is higher than in Pattaya. In a situation like that, if the budget is small, you get more bang for the buck staying local rather than pay lower service fees in Pattaya but having to cover the additional travel costs. So leaving all other factors aside, under that circumstances the trip’s only worth it if you really want to go all out.

Most countries around the world, the P4P scene can be very transactional. When you have 60 mins they really mean 60 mins - tick tock the clock is ticking and you have to perform . Where as in Pattaya the whole experience is something you get addicted to rather than purely P4P.

You’re absolutely right there. But we both know that in the end, we’re ultimately paying for an illusion.  You can get the near perfect illusion almost anywhere — it’s just a question of price. You could say that the most expensive services mainly differ from the cheaper ones in how strong the illusion is that it’s not just a transaction.

From that perspective, Pattaya is actually even more affordable.

And that’s exactly what makes Pattaya (and other P4P destinations) so attractive: we have the small price in mind, and we’re amazed at how much illusion we get for it. That helps us convince ourselves it’s not just transactional. That’s, in my opinion, why for so many people the math still works out despite the travel costs. The whole package makes it easier to build the illusion. It’s all in our heads. Even if we got the same thing at home, it wouldn’t feel the same because we know we paid a lot for it there. In Pattaya, we paid less. And that makes it easier to buy into the illusion. But let’s not kid ourselves: it’s always a transaction. And it’s just an illusion that it’s not.

Sorry, I realize I might be a bit of a buzzkill here. It’s just that the illusion works less and less for me as I get older and wiser. So I don’t really chase the illusion anymore, because it just doesn`t (or no longer) shows up. It’s more about the technical side now. Or should I say, the pure meat? You know what I mean.

"New is always better"

The whole package is what I'm after when I go on a vacation. I don't just enjoy the p4p scene in pattaya. I love waking up with a view of the water, I love walking by the sea in the morning before it gets too hot, grabbing a light meal from 7-11 or from a street cart for less than 2 dollars. Taking a dip in the pool in the mid afternoon.

It isn't always just an illusion either. I have a long long time that I've been with for 2 years now. She calls me every day when I'm back home. She has even gone back to Isaan because she doesn't want to work in the enviornment of Pattaya. Did it start out as a transaction? I met her on Thaifriendly so it did for me. I go my own way and play my own games while I'm in Thailand. So the "Illusion" has crossed over into my reality. I don't send her money when I'm at home but she still calls me every single day twice a day.

Affordable (not cheap)P4P enhances my vacations to Pattaya. I live in Nevada where Prostitution is legal about a 60 mile drive from my home. But you'd never want to purchase a "party" as they call it because the price is so cost prohibitive.  100 USD wouldn't even get these girls to piss on your gums if your teeth were on fire. 300 is usually the bare minimum these girls want and thats not even for full service.

The nearest affordable and more iportantly legal P4P opportunity to Las Vegas is Tijuana which I have frequenting for the last 16 years off and on dating back to when I would make side trips from Las Vegas when I was visiting from Florida. Its a quick 45 minute flight from Las Vegas to San Diego and a 45 minute bus/trolley ride to the Mexico border. For the longest time the prices here were "stuck" in time until recently. Within the few years since covid prices went from being around 60 dollars for the girl and 12 for the room to 100-150 for the girl and 40 dollars for the ST room at the most popular bar in the Zona Norte. Yes there are less expensive opportunities but not by much. I've gone from going every few weeks to just saving my money for my Thailand trips.

I'm glad I'm a Pattaya Adddict and not a P4P addict.

For a two week trip I would split my hotels up, walking past the same girls multiple times per day gets old fast.
