I got to know that my motorbike compulsory insurance (Por Ror Bor?) has been expired on December 24 so I have to repurchase the compulsory motor insurance so I googled, but could not find any place where I can buy.

Regarding this, I have some questions.

- I asked a motor Taxi driver and he told me I had to go to Land of transportation office near my place (If I understood correctly). Is this only place? In my country, I can purchase from any insurance company so I wonder.

- This compulsory motor insurance expiration date was different from my motor tax expiration date. Can I purchase the compulsory insurance according to my tax expiration date to have the same expiration date?

- Is there any fine not renewing the compulsory insurance in time?

The office is open and accepting applications, will give you a receipt to keep the cops happy and the actual docs and tax disc ready on 23rd (due to Songkran.

Any place with that Purple Gear sign can sort this out.  I was gone for over a year and they were kind enough to back-date my insurance for the time I was gone!  So no point in not paying even if you won't be around.  Its dirt cheap anyway and does provide medical insurance in case of an accident!
