A few weeks back before my most recent trip i canvassed opinions on this hotel but didn't get any feed back from anyone who had stayed there. As my first choice hotel ( Page 10 ) was not available at a price i was prepared to pay i decided to go ahead and book it anyway. If you're looking for an in depth @LOTTELLEE WINNA style review you're probably going to be disappointed but these are my impressions after an eight night stay.

BACKGROUND

Although you can book this hotel independently it is in reality a new build 20 room annex to the refurbished One Bay Breeze hotel diagonally opposite. You have a small reception area on the ground floor and 20 bedrooms across four floors ( accessed by Elevator or stairs ). All the services that you traditionally expect from a hotel such as restaurant, bar, gym, pool and even towels for the beach are accessed from the One Bay Breeze.

LOCATION

Everyone has their favourite part of Pattaya but for me the location at the second Rd end of Soi Honey couldn't be better for the current stage of my Pattaya journey

ROOMS

The rooms which range from 31sqm to 45 sqm are unusually generous for a new build. Entry level rooms in other newish hotels on the Soi are around 23sqm which is too small for me when i am in holiday mode. I went for the smallest room as this was the one that was on offer. The room overlooked Soi Honey but there was no bar noise although i did hear the occasional noisy motorbike.  The room had a proper wardrobe / closet with plenty of additional space to stash cases and an in room safe at a sensible height. A very well appointed bathroom with an excellent shower, large comfortable bed and a large desk. Small fridge / mini bar and a decent size TV although not much in the way of English news channels.

THE STAFF

Housekeeping, reception and security staff were all friendly although the daily tip to the maid didn't do any harm. Late check out was granted willingly and without additional charge.

 

THE COST

Accessing the hotel via google got a special price of 1650 baht per night on Agoda and C TRIP. I booked via the Agoda link. If you searched directly on the Agoda app the price was 1950 baht per night. The hotel rack rate was 2100 per night. Unfortunately only the entry level rooms were discounted.

 

THE NEGATIVES

The hotel had a very low occupancy rate during my stay. Never more than 50% and as low as 25% at times. Consequently staffing levels reflected this and there was only one person on reception for much of the time. If that person was called away or on a break then the reception was unmanned. As with the one Bay Breeze last year the hotel did not take the id of any guests you might bring back. I also felt that compared to the bed the pillows were a bit cheap but it didn't impact my sleep at all.

 

WOULD I RETURN?

Possibly. If the hotel started keeping id's and if there were offers on the larger rooms  then possibly would become definitely.

There are five rooms on each of the four accommodation floors. Two rooms face Soi Honey, a corner room faces soi Honey and second Rd and two rooms face Treetown. Its possible you may get some noise from the two rooms facing Treetown although the glass insulation did seem to be of a good standard. There was no bar noise from either Soi Honey or Treetown in my Soi Honey facing room.

I thought the same too. 
 

For the OP, there doesn’t appear to be any balcony’s for these rooms, is that correct?

Certainly none on the soi Honey Honey facing rooms. Don't think there are any on the treetown facing rooms either but can't say with complete certainty
