You could see this coming and no doubt they'll encourage the online snitch app they use now for vapes 

I wouldn't use Airbnb anyway but now people have to worry about this initiative.

It's been happening since the day some of these developments were finished . There must be some blind eyes in pattaya 

Mainly Russians in the condo building I stay in down Na Jomtien. Many  are set as Russian holiday lets . I rent long term here .

  Got to to say they are ok had no problems more family orientated here . But the Russians don't give a monkeys about it being legal or not .

The turnover is huge in the big condos not too far away . Seven Seas, Venetian, Nam Talay, The Riviera . Not sure I would fancy renting long term in those .

The article states "condo names being with held due to on going legal action" but even a fresh off the plane newbe can tell by the pics, The Base was number 1 target. Be willing to bet The Base is more Chinese foreign owned than any other condo in the area, except maybe the Edge. Be interesting to see how this plays out and if it changes behaviors of the many folks that post on this board. Wife has a long term agreement on her unit, but suspect renter is "sub letting".

Good it's about time they cracked down!
