Just wondering if there is a hotel in Pattaya (close to Walking Street, etc..) where someone hasn't had anything stolen from the safe or room? I don't mind paying more per night for the assurance I can leave stuff in the room safe or locked in my luggage without having to worry. Any help is appreciated.

Most hotels in general, are safe, but if you want a name I would mention The Marriott hotel its right near the mall........others can

list their recommendations :)

There are so many that are safe and nice. At least to me. Most hotels that makes the TG check their ID's at reception are a good start, but the precautions you take goes a long way.

Safety depends more your own precations than the hotel in question. Really the only thing you can expect. from the hotel is for them to take your guests ID and provide an in room eletonic safe. bring a pad lock to secure your luggage and you can keep anything that doesnt fit into your safe in there. If your really concerned dont get so drunk that you loose your wits and be careful with open beverages. Precations are like condoms they only work if you use them. I would say that these are the basics ..enjoy

The majority of hotel employees won't steal your stuff. However, you may end up being the unlucky guy who happens to cross paths with an unscrupulous employee. I don't think the class of hotel has anything to do with it, its just luck of the draw, such is life in LOS. Take common sense precautions with your belongings and stay in one of the many hotels recommended by others, and you are unlikely to have problems.

Never had anything material stolen by a BG .... only my heart, which is so soft it hardly can be considered material.
