I have booked with the flight centre many times, what I find best is to get a cheap deal on the internet and get them to beat the price. The reason i dont book straight off the net is I'm shit with money so I just pay cash each payday to the Flight Centre. They quoted me $820 and got a price back from thaiair.com.au at @ $760. thats for a return flight syd bkk on 13th August 09

I agree that it's best to check the net first - I look on the thai airways site, they actually have the cheap fares extended wheras most flightcentres think they only run to 17th Sept. If you go into the flightcentre make them look online at the thai site if you think t is cheaper, and then they do a 'health check' an beat the fare by $20. Don't trust their pricing bcause they actually don't have the offer and only when you point it out can they beat it.

Flightcentre were adament the fare only ran to 17th Sept and offered me well over $1000 for returning after that date. When I asked them to check the Thaiairsite they ended up doing the fare I wanted for $730.

Yes I could have just bought it online, but I prefer to get the ticket confirmation in person, and, if the flightcentre can make a little cut and it works out a little bit less for me, good on em!

I dont generally use travel agents, in fact this booking with Flight Centre is my first ever with them. It was just too good a deal.

Thai do have $680 fares on their site at the moment but you will always get slugged with $320+ taxes.

The best airline with the best deals are always Emirates. Their ultimate sale fare is $700 inclusive of taxes - SYDNEY BANGKOK. Got this in March.

Slapman - fares out of Perth are generally cheaper arent they, havent tried Jetstar yet. What are they like?

I don't buy out the bar, I buy the nightspot.

The joy of getting prices for airfares is knowing you are going somewhere

Why do Flight Centre supply you different prices from Different Branches? Has anyone else come accross this.

Jetstar or Airasia Perth to Bkk routes, any hints or suggestions, comments?

I recently booked flights with Air Asia from BKK to Perth return for a little over $450 per person. The only downside is that there is a stop in KL. The price includes luggage and a meal between KL and Perth.

Same here. I recently booked with AA a return ticket from BKK to Gold Coast for $455 including 20kg luggage coming back (have to bring back some more stuff) and meals. Stopover in KL for about 2.5 hrs.

I been doin all my own bookings for years, flights direct from the airlines, Air Asia, Tiger, or wgoever has the best deal.

hotels I often use asiarooms.com. don't know if you can get rooms cheaper direct with the hotels. Oh I book direct if I am going to Galaxy Suites.

I know this can take up a lot of time, but when I'm planning a trip I enjoy it.

If you book a fare with www.jetabroad.com.au this month and pay with paypal, you get 20% cashback.

Can work out to be a nice little saver.
