Two Thai transwomen posed as foreign tourists and recorded a video of a Bangkok taxi driver who overcharged them, later sharing it on the TikTok app. They called on the government to address the issue seriously.

The video, shared by the TikTok account, aisayawarin, on February 17, quickly went viral among Thai netizens. In the footage, the two transwomen flagged down a taxi and pretended to speak broken and unclear Thai, mimicking foreign tourists.

According to the pair, the driver refused to turn on the meter and demanded 100 baht for a short trip to the Huay Kwang area of Bangkok. After the driver made the overcharge request, one of the women revealed they were Thai.
