Anyone stayed at Dusit Thani?

A bit pricey / seems to be near baht bus stop?

Joiner fee?

Security checks oppressive even when my wife + I booked in at the same time.

Paying for Club free drinks + snacks worthwhile depending on what + how often you drink

BBQ/ Food theme night are very good

i stayed there for a week before covid so my take may be a little outdated.

the rooms were okay but were showing age even back then. i remember cracks around the bathroom fixtures a little moldy smell in the bathroom in the first room we checked in.  the air conditioner refused to cool the room so on the second day we changed rooms and all those issues were solved.  bed was king and comfortable.  view was good.  location was okay a little far from most of the places i go but taxis, bikes, and bus are right outside.

the biggest issue was security. i think the guy already posted this but i stayed with one girl the entire trip and they never gave me an issue coming and going but she had to always have her id, card, etc without fail even with the same guard and only a few hours apart.

i really did enjoy their pool though.  one of the best i would say in pattaya.

that being said i normally stay condos now but when i was last shopping for hotels the Hilton and dusit were equally priced.  take the Hilton every time!

Dusit Thani along with The Royal Cliff and one or two others were going strong at the time of my first visit to Pattaya in 1988. It really isn't aimed at the monger market so unlikely to appeal to many of the readers on this forum i would have thought.

Agreed, stayed there once in the early 90's, too far out for me and too far to pop back to the room if you need something.

Probably nice for genuine western couples on holiday but not recomended for us guys on here.
