Hi

Planning a visit to Pattaya in Feb and would appreciate anyone’s experience and thoughts on the following hotels in terms of them being Guest/Joiner Friendly and whether or not they are modern, upscale hotels?

     Amber

     Baraquda

Not sure about others … but Amber is an absolute winner for me among the list of hotels mentioned by you … it can’t go wrong there …

I’ve stayed a few times at the Amber and rate it as ‘quite good’. Here is a review I posted (about 20 months ago):

I personally rate Barraquda great location, reasonable price, good reception service etc. I also love the position on second rd and the back passage rat run that comes out on the amethyst hotel/boomerang roads, easy route to Bukhaow.LK. The only downsides are its a bit dark in the rooms and the pool only gets sun for a short part of the day. They also have those open plan bathrooms built into the bedroom which not everyone likes.

Never stayed in amber but a few friends said they didnt rate it. Noise through the walls I think was mentioned a couple times. The tripadviser reviews seem quite mixed too
