Adelphi Pattaya - Jan 25

I just finished a short four day stay in Pattaya.  When I was planning this trip a few months ago, I got some really good information about hotels form this forum, so I figured I would a add some notes about the Adelphi hotel.

I found most of the comments about Adelphi to be spot on: friendly staff, larger rooms, and clean and comfortable.  However, the comments about the hotel "showing its' age" are also very true. The hotel needs an upgrade or at least a refresh.  I am a light sleeper so low noise is important to me.  When I got to my room I found I was right on the main street and though ohh no, I'll here the traffic, but the hotel uses two double pane patio doors so the noise wasn't bad; the rooms was pretty quiet. No issues with the AC and plenty of hot water.  Location isn't bad, but it's a good walk to beach road.

Internet: because I was at the very end of the hallway, the wifi signal wasn't very strong and would occasionally drop.  I saw a man leaving his room a few doors down and asked him how is internet was.  He laughed and said he was in the same room as me a floor above and asked to be moved because of the internet.  He said no problems as long as you are not at the end of the hallway...good to know

Gym: if you like to work out, this is not the place. A couple of treadmill, a stationary bike and free weights.

Would I stay there again, maybe.  It would depend on the rates

Thank you mate. I had this hotel on one of my list for my upcoming trip for 1800 baht per night. Adding in your review, I'm not so sure it's worth that price being that there are other hotels in that area at the same price.

Thanks @Harley_Rider

I stayed here last year 4 times myself and agree your sentiments.

I take it you were staying in one of the Premier Rooms at the front? I found the wifi there to be troublesome also on the one occasion I took one of those rooms.

Much more spacious and a better view.

I've stayed in both the Deluxe with Balcony and the Premier room. Much prefer the Premier for the size of the room and the sofa. Double glass sliding doors keep the noise down and the views are real good on the upper floors

found a good deal & cancelled Acqua stay and made the whole 22 nights at Adelphi Premier double, in the end paying 1920 Baht per night, which is fair enough I guess for such a room. :)

About the Premier room, not yet as I will check in on 31.07.

But been to Adelphi twice before, 10 days and 20 days, Deluxe room with balcony, both times I was supper happy, rooms are spacious, big fridge, nice bathroom. In general I like how bright the rooms are. Cleaning maids are great, it's quiet during nights, perfect for sleeping, girls liked it too. I didnt use the pool to be honest, nor the gym. As well there is no breakfast, which for me is fine, as I never eat breakfast. There is a pharmacy on the right side and small restaurants on the left, as well as laundry service. Staff in general very friendly.

Last time there was a renovation going on or something in the Neighbour rooms, could hear the drilling, after my girl left, I asked them to change rooms and they put me on the 5th floor without hesitating.

I like it's location too, its literally 2 minutes walk to Treetown.

Full recommendations for Adelphi.

My 1 month trip ended unfortunately (as usual) had a great time, in fact best trip out of my 5 so far!

Stayed 22 nights in the Premier Room, the room is very spacious, however the couch had stains from previous usage I guess, which made it impossible for me to use it as I was grossed out tbh. Nevertheless service level was top again and I was really happy with my stay in Adelphi once again, however next time I will be booking the Deluxe Balcony room again, its more than enough, the extra money spent on the bigger room wasn't worth it imo, finally especially as I didnt use the couch at all.

I stayed in the Adelphi last week for a few days. Not my first visit, but my first in a premier room. For me the extra space was a definite plus and the sofa didn't have any stains!

One thing I will highlight is that the premier room has a 'normal' sized, modern TV. The standard rooms seem to have something resembling a PC monitor I used in the 1990's. It was also very easy to hook up my Firestick too. I recollect that the standard rooms don't have accessible ports for that. Wifi speed was also a lot better than my previous stays.

The bed was very 'springy' but I slept well and the maid service was excellent. The room was quiet (facing PP Body Massage across the street) and Copper Spoon / Bake n Brew were excellent for breakfast. The shower temperature was tricky to control - a problem I've encountered in about 90% of the hotels I've visited in Thailand. I've no idea why this happens so regulalry!

There are two premier rooms on each floor and they both look toward the PP massage
