Don’t know about costs, but the Marriott Resort there is quite good, especially if your TGF has young kid(s) and the restaurant there is excellent.

I doubt a Marriott resort in December or January is doling out rooms for less than US$100.

The OP wants under 3000B a night.

Like I said, I don’t know about costs .,, I just pay whatever it is as I like it and that’s why I recommended it.  There’s plenty of other options in town which appear to be decent and likely on the cheaper side of things.

There are a few hotel reviews in the forum… searches your friend

Hilton is central but a bit more expensive.  From there the price drops quite dramatically

Hua Hin seems a bit higher end then a gap then lower middle

city beach is ok. Breaky is fine

sirin similar.

Anchan Boutique is nice but no breaky. To be sure there is plenty of eateries in town though

Laksasubha Resort. It's on the beach, close to old town Huahin. We really enjoyed it there last week.

Was there any beach.  Very high tides lately

The tides come way in, until the waves lap against the hotel steps, then go way the fuck out until there's miles of beach.

While we were there, tides were high during the day and low at night. So we could have a nice walk on the beach at night, but not much sunbathing on it during the day.

And also, the sun sets the wrong way for sunsets there. Maybe the sunrises are good, didn't get up early enough.

Also, Laksasubha is long and narrow. The beach facing part is just the restaurant, infinity pool and bar. The rooms are on a winding, leafy path leading back from that. There is another pool and gym further back.

Tripadvisor shows rate as $A438 per night (about $US285/9400THB).

Too much for me, I regret.
