Can anyone tell me if there is still a minibus to Pattaya from the minibus terminal at Mochit?

If so how often do they run? Thanks.

I took the big bus from Mochit not that long ago. Not sure about the minibus but I prefer the big bus anyway.

Mochit 2 Bus Depot to Pattaya Bus Terminal

Tawanok Tour operates a bus from Bangkok Mochit Bus Terminal to North Pattaya Bus Terminal hourly. Tickets cost ฿200–250 and the journey takes 2h 25m

Yes, but why?   In my experience, minibuses and minivans are the worst mode of travel in all of Thailand.

Yes, I prefer the big bus also, but during the last high season I went across the bridge for the big bus and they were very busy, it was a two hour wait. The last two times I took a taxi but the drives went the long way through Chonburi, they were both fixed fares so there was no cheating, but it sure took a lot longer.

That's why I want to take the mini bus and buy two seats for more room. I woud really prefer the taxi, but I don't speak Thai and the taxi drivers don't speak English, and I hate that long road through Chonburi.

Yes, I understand that, but I regularly for the last 20 years have taken a minibus or minivan getting picked up at my house upcountry to go to Bangkok at Mochit minibus terminal, and the driving has never been a problem.

Think NO. It's a big bus.

Check web site, you have address, and/or Google for more information

Open Google>type 'buses Mo Chit Bangkok to Pattaya'>enter.

Abracadabra, helpful answers appear within seconds!

You can find info on most things on Google.

There are still mini buses e.g. vans with seats which go terminal to the door which are not coaches and are mainly Thai workers. I'd avoid them.

I have a friend in Khon Kaen who comes in a van directly from her work to my hotel arriving 5 am. So that's good for us because there are no connections to and from a terminal. She arrives at my hotel and I give the driver 700B. And you can arrange the door to door return overnight.

There's also a terminal to terminal coach bus (like we'd think of a bus) from the Sukhumvit/Klang depot to the Khon Kaen terminal.

So girls can take an express bus to Udon or Khon Kaen and avoid a change in Bangkok.

And from Mo Chit to up north, several bus lines including VIP buses.

So you can find vans but you don't need the vans. Or want them generally.

I took the minibus to pattaya from ekkamai on my first trip to thailand, not realizing what pattaya was.  Me and my only buddy went, because all the girls on TF told us to go there to party.
Anyways, It was fucking horrible.  Hot. Sweaty. No AC. Squished in, with no room to move for 3 hours.
I was lucky enough to be sat against some very angry\aggressive ~25yo chinese guy, that yelled at the driver every 20 minutes.  He REALLY didn't like the american country music the driver had put on.   "DRIVER! CHANGE THE MUSIC.... NOOOOOOOOWWWWW!!!"   every 5 mins. Along with other bitching.   He wasn't right in the head, and i thought i was gonna be stabbed in the neck half way through the drive.

All that to say, spend $40 and get a taxi.  Or atleast that has been mentioned, a VIP bus.

In Ekkamai, these are the guys hanging out their booths and screaming ‘Pattaya Pattaya’ … irritating as fuck even before getting on their mini buses.

I guess this causes a lot of people to overlook the Roong Reuang regular bus which is cheaper and more comfortable.
