Azure Hotel (formerly Centara Azure Hotel)Closed Indefinitely

I have just been emailed "Closed indefinitely from 31 December, with No date for re-opening for major reconstruction"

This is interesting and good news!  I stayed there a few years ago when it was still the Centara Azure hotel, it was very nice and reasonable.  Was a bit dated, did need some maintenance and repairs/remodeling... as it was feeling the wear of high occupancy.  The staff was very good and accommodating, good restaurant as well.  When I saw the name change,  was thinking that some changes were coming.

A lot of work and improvements has been done along that section of Soi 15.  And they built the Amethyst hotel just a down from there.  This is a really nice & quiet area, plus some nice restaurants and clubs!  I always stay in this area when I'm there. The remodeling will just add more to this area.

Must be why they recently put up a sign advising us residents of the condo complex that “they reserve the right to restrict access” through the hotel to SB15.
I was curious as to why they did it, now I think we know.

Is it because they will start building across the road? Will be very noisy I guess.

Yeah I was thinking this too but makes sense now if they closing they are closing the hotel. Will be annoying if we don't have access to Soi 15.

I’d suggest access SB 15 via the basement car park driveways. Building B probably the most inconvenienced but I’m in C and often use the car park driveway to get to SB 15 anyway.

Unfortunately they didn’t inform the guests, it’s mayhem, a friend of mine had a booked and they just told him, sorry 1st January you’re out! I had a booking for January, no email nothing, not on really

I was planning to book an apartment there. Glad I didn't decide to do it.

Stayed there during Covid. Such a dark, dingey place, tiny little rooms and unhelpful staff.

wont miss it

I rented an apartment in the condo complex back in a trip in August. I thought that the only possible exit was through the hotel lol. I was planning to stay in the same apartment for my next trip in February. Anyone knows how will this affect the people of the condo complex? Only in that I may need to find another exist?
