Thai Government Hospital in Pattaya/Na Kluea

Having just obtained a Thai work permit I have been asked to nominate a Thai government hospital as part of the social welfare side of things.

I had a government hospital recommendation in Na Kluea recently for this purpose but have forgotten the name of the hospital . Apparently the hospital has recently been refurbished. I was wondering if it was the Banglamung Hospital? Does anyone know anything or have any recommendations? Thank you.

Yes that is Banglamung Hospital.

its been 8+ years since I had a work permit & lived there. Assuming system is similar today, Bamglamung Hospital had an A&E, but they do not have all departments that a bigger hospital would have.

I discovered that the big general hospital for the Provence is in Siracha, think it was called Somdev or similar sounding name. WP covered that too.

Also there was a doctors clinic near bottom of Theppasit Road that the social insurance card with the work permit covered.

I have registered at Queens in Sir Ratcha they are FANTASTIC thats where they did my Hip replacements and could not have been better. It was the best government hospital in the area IMO after i did the checking. PM me if you have any questions.

Also you will receive a letter from SS every January that will allow you to change Hospitals if you like this happens yearly.

If you need care or a operation that your hospital can not provide they will refer you to a private hospital for the work and the SS still cover it 100%.

Don't know your age or work situation but also if you are going to retire here and you own a condo get a yellow book for the condo with your name in it as then upon retirement you can continue to get the insurance from SS for a stupid amount monthly which at present is 432 baht a month. Afew years ago you did not need to hold a yellow book but seems they have changed that.
