there's one for all those guys saying "riding /driving in Patts (or anywhere else in Thailand is fine, never had a problem."

maybe you didn't. but if you've been driving or riding (or even crossing the fucking street) in Thailand for a while, even if you haven't HAD a problem, you've seen a few. if you haven't, it's probably down to poor situational awareness.

once you get to where you can anticipate the stupid that will cross your path it's do-able but it always requires some small bit of luck that some asshole like this isn't near you.

This is not a Thailand/Pattaya exclusive issue...   Drunk driving is a worldwide problem.   You can be anywhere in the world and out of nowhere a drunk driver change lives forever.

it isn't. but have you driven here?

drunk drivers are worse here, stupider here, and they're not the only thing on the road that's worse here. plenty of people die on the road because someone SOBER here. then you get those same fuckwits drunk, and well...

pretty much every driving/riding issue is worse here. road death statistics compare unfavorably to many war zones.

that car that rolled over is a death trap with that weak roof, have they even crashtested it? Anyone know what model it is, would be interesting to look up its NCAP rating if it even has one.

I made sure my GF took driving lessons but there's so many things they don't teach them on the course. Older ladies never had a lesson & many didn't even take a test. The reason the BiB take no action against Thai Motorcy's is where does it stop, no helmet, license out of date or no hab, no tax nor insurance & the bike isn't registered in their name...😣
