Cosmetic Dentistry in Pattaya?

Recommended Posts

Anyone know a good reputable cosmetic dentist/ place in Pattaya?

Last few years my upper 6 front teeth have got a lot of chipped off pieces,

as I´m getting older the enamel on my teeth gets thinner and the edges chips off easily!

So, I am thinking of doing a make over next year in Pattaya or Bangkok.

I have done some research and there seems to be 3 options:

1, Composite Bonding, quick and cheap, least intrusive as composite is used directly to fill in the chipped areas, though the filling might discolor after some time

and short lifetime of about 2-3 years only, but it depends of the quality of the material used and the skills of the dentist.

2, Porcelain Veneers, more expensive and takes longer time as some molding is needed, most of the teeth is saved as the tooth only gets a new front facade,

but longer lasting and more natural look. I think this method is mostly used with discolored or deformed teeth though?

3, Dental Crowns, the most intrusive as most of tooth is grind down and also takes a longer time as a new tooth/crown has to be made after a mold,

but strongest and longest lasting with good natural look.

I´m not rich as I´m retired with low pension, so I´m looking for a specialist Dentist that can do composite bonding and that has a good reputation with great credentials!

Most cheap dental places in Pattaya would probably do it if asked, but I am looking for a specialist in cosmetic dentistry.

Maybe there are some dental clinics that specialize more on cosmetic dentistry?

I know most dentists refuse to do composite bonding on chipped front teeth because the filling will not last long, but even if it only lasts 2-3 years it would still be worth it

as it is so much cheaper and easier than the other options!

Anyone that has done composite bonding on front teeth in Pattaya or Bangkok?

What was your experience?

Google Warin Pattaya Dentist for the best value for money dentist in Pattaya.....been with him 14 years....crowns/implants etc. 👍

I didn´t find any website for Dr Warin, only see it is under construction!?

Also seems you have to book an appointment weeks in advance!?

So... no one has done some composite binding on chipped off front teeth in Pattaya?

How about Porcelain Veneers on front teeth?

Yes, the four centre upper teeth: build-up and bond.

See web site for Bangkok Smile Dental Clinic . Several clinics in Bangkok and in Phuket.

Web site has sample price lists. You can get an email estimate, subject to the dentist actually checking your teeth.

I go there at least once a year for check-up and any work needed. Next trip, next month.

I use this dentist -

https://www.dentalparagon.com/

https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.481554460657457

On Pattaya Central Road a block or so east of Soi Buakhaw.

I found them very good.

Heaps of dentists in that area of course.

Without any whatsoever knowledge of the trade I would imagine any well-trained dentist can perform the, in my mind, fairly simple procedure?

I've noted a number of dentist has left central and established clinics along North Pattaya Rd amongst them dr. Komgrit I've been seeing ever since he started at PIDC. Cosmetic may be below his paygrade but no harm asking

Warin is on Pattaya klang...call in anytime and tell them you need the doctor to give you a quick assessment and you are happy to wait until he has a few minutes....he will see you....I had porcelain veneers and an implant done 13 years ago....first class service +price....he,s currently doing another implant for me 30,000 baht total price 👍

Thanks for info!

I see that porcelain veneers cost about the same as crowns, a bit over my budget though! 😢

I will see if I can find some place that can do composite bonding first.

I will visit a few places and let them make a free quick assessment of my teeth, and then decide what to do!

Just a video showing direkt composite bonding, this is what I am looking for! 😁

Only a very skilled and experienced dentist can do this! To make it look so natural you must be like a sculptor!

If you know a dentist in Pattaya or Bangkok that can perform this work of art... please let me know! 😜

Personally, I wouldn't cheap out on dental work if there's an option for longer lasting & stronger. If it means saving up a little more or cutting back on this hobby for a bit, it'll be worth it in the longer run even if just cosmetic.

For a start, I would say the competence / talent gap between the best dentists in cosmetic work and all other dentists is significant.

And if the tooth is a no-renewable resource why would a dentist recommend something like veneers? Is it not antithetical to the preservation of the healthy tooth? Is the answer money? Are you a customer or a patient? Would they say the same things to a customer if an independent (regulatory) dentist was sat in the room? Reluctance to treat vs eagerness to treat?

What can go wrong? Failure in parafunction diagnosis, collateral damage, over preparation, poor aesthetic choices, debonding, introduction of occlusal?

What can go right? Who decides what is a good result? The patient? The dentist? What is the level of consensus amongst dentists to what is a good result?

Even if we agreed it was simple, is it easy?

Why don,t you simply go along and discuss with him what you are looking for....then you will get first hand information regarding prices and suitability of his work for what you are looking for.....far better than asking questions on a forum....I found him nearly 14 years ago through research as well as others I looked at and IMHO I made the right choice....if anyone else knows of better then good luck to them I,ll stick with Warin 👍

If I was younger (and richer) I wouldn´t hesitate to go for the more longer lasting  options.

Some say a composite bonding on front teeth only lasts for 2-3 years, but I actually did a composite bonding on the surface of my two front teeth 12 years ago because of too excessive tooth brushing that left scrape marks on my teeth , and it still holds today although slight discoloration has recently started to show!

Composite bonding at edge of front teeth is more volatile though because of the direct bite force applied to that area, but if you take care and avoid biting into hard stuff it could last long!

It also depends on the composite material used and skills of dentist, so I think finding a skilled specialist cosmetic dentist is of most importance!

I would like a composite veneer bonding that covers the whole front and top of the teeth, like in the video below.

Video: This dentist seems to really know what he is doing... unfortunately he seems to be living in Colombia! 😏

Exactly. Hence me telling him to get veneers.

Composite veneer is about 5000 baht/tooth and Porcelain veneers from 11000 Baht up, and I have 6 teeth that I would need to fix, so either 30000 baht or 66000 baht that makes a difference of 36000 baht.

That would be enough for me to fuck ST with 6-7 GoGo girls! 😜

Oh well, cheap out on it and keep having to replace it every few years then I guess. Exactly the same as a certain popular Pattaya YouTuber. If you cheap out on dental work it always comes back to bite you.

I got eight veneers on my top set in Pattaya nine years ago and they’re still going strong.

I've just had a crown fitted in the UK cost me £600 - 26000tbt might need another, was thinking of going down the Thai route as I'm here in Jan for 2 months, but looking at the difference between prices between UK and Thailand, whilst its cheaper I think I'll stay with UK, for me just not worth the risk, you hear to many horror stories.

No you don’t.

Not from reputable places.

I think if you do a bit of research about the exact place you're going Thailand is a fantastic country for dental and medical tourism. I've only ever had good experiences here.
