I’m staying in the Pratumnak area for the first time. Sirin hotel so on Soi Phra Tam Nak 5.

Does anybody who stayed in this area have tips for good restaurants?

Went to Kraken Lanta for lunch which had really good burgers and I know there are a few night markets around.

Thanks

Sands cafe at the beach is pretty good, though not cheap for many dishes. I had chicken Pad Thai there for lunch today.

Sunflour near the top of Soi 4 is very popular for breakfast but last orders are soon after 6.

Motea is very close to the hotel and is decent.

When I stayed at Sirin a few weeks ago I thought the salads and chicken fried rice for room service were good.

I don’t go to Dom’s or Old Rogues after poor meals at both but they are popular

O, and O’Garas at the top of the Soi is good if you want a pint and does some decent pub grub.

Just noticed this bit. Be careful eating at the Russian Night Market. A friend ate there Saturday night and was violently ill - even shat the bed.

Not the first time he’s been sick from there but daft enough to go back as it’s cheap!

Possibly the food, but I wouldn't rule out a nasty case of timezones.

Bentleys and sun flour cafe.

If you do not mind walking or grabbing a motor bike back to Thappraya, "The Barrel House" has some pretty decent Farang food options. The Mrs says that the Thai food is not that great.

Not the cheapest place in town, but plenty of good options starting at about 500. Good sports bar type TVs and nicely decorated as well.

I also like Sands Cafe. Again, not the cheapest place in the area.

Also in the general area on Thappraya is Aquapazza, which specializes in Neapolitan Italian food.

That is a very good hotel, my friend staying there at the moment as well. Popped in to take a look at his room

You could try Centerpoint, it's next to BigC Extra on 5, a small food court, right at the back is a good pie shop
